Nice desk overall / takes a long time to assemble

I bought this as I work from home quite often as a business owner and independent consultant. I was concerned that this might not be large enough for my big 17 MacBook Pro, but it holds it just fine with some room for a mouse. Overall this is a good value, but Im not as cry about stand up desks as I was before I bought it. Im 48 and in very good shape, but I still found standing at a desk to be fatiguing for more than 15 minutes or so. I may just need to build up endurance as I know standing is far better than sitting most of the time. Pros: 1. The price for this is very reasonable for the cost. 2. The desk can be to very precise heights to make it fit your needs exactly. 3. The overall build quality is pretty solid. 4. The wheels work fine on both hardwood and carpet. Cons: 1. It took a ridiculously long time to assemble, maybe 1.5/2.0 hours. If I had a power screwdriver this could have easily been cut in half. I am also not the most handy guy ever, but this was a long time. 2. It doesnt have a specific cut out for your power chord. 3. It does not fold up easily, but the main desk part can be lowered so that it could be put into a closet when not in use / still, this is pretty bulky.

Compact, yet usable! Love the space underneath!

Absolutely love the compartment for goodies under. So many other laptop stands have room for the laptop and that is it. Not this one.keep what you need handy right where you need it. And I dont have to pick it up to move it! Bonus!!

You Get What You Pay For, I guess

I have added a start to my original review, because once I finished putting this together, the metal side rails did help draw together some of the gappiest parts. The reason Im not giving this 4 stars, however, is it was still a MAJOR pain to put together (and Im not a complete wimpI can load a kayak on top of my car by myself). Also, it wobbles. Im using it right now and the whole top of the desk (along with my laptop) wiggles and wobbles. Its not so decrepit that I worry anything will fall off, but neither does it feel as wholly stable as Id like. So basically, this is a useful item for someone who spends a great deal of time in front of the computer (sitting is the new smoking). The price is really, REALLY good. But is it worth the effort? Time will tell ORIGINAL REVIEW: Perhaps I should have paid for a handyman to put this together for me, but I believed the people who said it was easy! Once I finally get this thing assembled, if I absolutely love the result, I may raise my rating by one star. But right now Ive been struggling with it for two hours, my back hurts, and Im tired, and none of the pieces fit together very well. There are gaps all over, an eighth of an inch here, a quarter of an inch there, which makes it look very cheap. I seriously hope it doesnt tip too much on top because of the uneven fits on the bottom.

    My portable organizer!

I absolutely love this stand. My girlfriend and I work on a lot of projects out in the living room and typically always work at the couch. I use this stand as my portable project organizer and I couldnt be happier. PROS 1. A lot of storage space 2. Very durable; it doesnt wobble nor was it made of cheap material 3. The wheels even lock! 4. top/shelf 5. Efficient shape design CONS (kind of, but not really a con) 1. Its a bit taller than I am while sitting on my couch but I bought it knowing the dimensions so it doesnt deserve any points marked down because of that factor.

    Just what I needed

The unit is just as I expected. It is solid and does the job without taking up a lot of space. The only winkle was that it wasnt the easiest unit to put together. The tool they provide to put screws in was a joke.

    Great laptop stand!

Bought this on the WalMart website for 49.95. I concur with the positive reviews. Follow the clear instructions and this item will go together just fine. Use the supplied screw driver to team the holes just a bit and take care to make sure the locking screws go in straight. That is all there is to it. It is quite stable. The surface is fine for a 13 MacBook. It might be a bit cozy for larger equipment. The range of vertical adjustment will accommodate sitting and standing.

    Great product, assembly definitely required

Super cute once I put it together, but the assembly was awful. Directions were fairly clear, though I had to do some deciphering. But the holes to screw parts together werent well drilled. I had to widen the screw holes and put all my body weight into screwing it in. But exactly what I wanted once it was assembled!

Good quality desk with great health benefits to stand up while working

Highly recommend this desk! For the health benefits of standing, its already worth the price. Then after the quick assembly and using it, youll be happy you bought it. The front two wheels have locking devices to keep it from moving, or release them to move the desk. I put my laptop on the top table, iPad on the top shelf, and phone on the middle shelf so its all close by. I wish it had different locking mechanisms rather than big screws, but its still extremely easy to raise/lower and safe once its locked. Other than that minor request, I love using this desk for a couple hours per day in my home office or it out next to the couch to keep all my device close by!

    Great mobile laptop stand

I am a physician and I bought this so that I am mobile with my laptop from room to room. Assembly was not sure/proof as you have to be careful when you place the special screws in the wood. The holes are a bit small for the screws and if you are too aggressive you can damage the holes and the lamination around the area. That was the only problem. The love that the wheels lock. The extension of the top is perfect as it allows you to work while sitting and standing. Most mobile stands for some reason only go up to waist high which does not work if you want to work standing. I bought a few plastic drawer binds and now my stand is awesome! 3 other physicians in the office as asked how to get one.

    Great product, great price.

If you like flat pack furniture and dont mind putting things together yourself this is just for you. Everything went together easily and without any trouble. The unit is pretty sturdy and it holding up nicely. One of the pieces was damaged in shipping, but the problem was quickly rectified by calling the company. they simply sent a new part and all is well.
