Solid desk. Fits my laptop well. My irrational fear is that the top part that holds my laptop will fall down. I dont expect this to happen since it feels sturdy but all I did was wrap a few wraps of electrical tape on the riser bars to prevent them from falling down if the screws loosen. If I only had a cordless extension cord this thing would be perfect.
I am very pleased with this cart. It took a while to assemble (the cam locks are sometimes difficult to reach/align), but once I had done so the cart proved to be sturdy and attractive. I didnt think Id use the shelves on it much, having purchased it mostly just to hold my laptop at a standing height, but they have proven useful for stashing a mouse and sundries throughout the day. I have a full/sized ThinkPad, and if I sit the computer all the way to the left edge, I can fit a mousepad (I trimmed it down to match the curve of the table surface) and mouse without problem.
The extension poles are metal with a bolt that screws into each side to hold them up; this means that the poles will become a bit scratched up with repeated up/down use, but I find it preferable to pre/set heights via holes and pegs in some items.
The casters are smooth and are lockable. The laminate coating is decently sturdy and relatively attractive (be careful reaching in to the shelf portion as the underside of this material tends to be sharp). If the poles are extended fully, I wouldnt recommend it around with the small handle on the top shelf, as the cart becomes top heavy . definitely dont wheel it that way with the computer on it! but if you are moving it a small distance its fine to roll using your feet and/or hands to move it around.
This contraption has made teaching in my classroom AWESOME! I have gotten so many compliments on this movable laptop stand and now my administration wants to purchase one for every staff member. This is easy to use, easy to assemble, goes up and down well for standing and sitting, and allows me to be up and moving with my students. EXCELLENT product!
Awesome product! This desk is perfect for me, and exactly what I was looking for! Since it was so cheap compared to others, I thought it would be of lesser quality but it has been holding up great (and it is used daily)! I recommend using an electric screw gun to put together, using a screw driver was difficult, but worked. The desk is used all the time, and is rolled all over my house and is holding up great! I highly recommend.
I am a 54 girl. I definitely love this standing desk, it makes my efficiency higher. I use it to hold my laptops (15.6). I like the feature that this table has wheels so I can work anywhere in my home. It is stable and easy to be put together.
It took a while for me to assemble, even though the instructions are clear. Im 57 and can adjust it to a comfortable height for standing and sitting, however, because the base is quite wide my leg position is a bit awkward while sitting. It would be better if the top shelf were wider to accommodate writing.
I purchased two of these for the church I work for. Perfect for our needs; however, the clips that are used to adjust the height have broken on both units; twice on one of them. They are, of course, made of plastic and just not strong enough. The company did replace a set on each. But now another one has broken. So, if you dont need to adjust it for multi users, I would say Go for it. Its a great product for the price. Otherwise, I would not recommend.
Great little podium. I use it as a simple podium for teaching online courses I video. Very sturdy constructions that only requires a screwdriver (one was included). The use of the locking cams make assembly a snap. I had this together in less than 20 minutes. Tight assembly and the overall structure is very solid and dependable. Please note that the podium surface is flat and does not have any adjustment.
