Use the supplied screw driver to team the holes just a bit and take care to make sure the locking screws go in straight. That is all there is to it. It is quite stable. The surface is fine for a 13 MacBook. It might be a bit cozy for larger equipment. The range of vertical adjustment will accommodate sitting and standing.
