    Easy Assembly

Table arrived a day early. Packaged very securely. After unpacking all the parts, I had a few minutes of concern that the hardware was missing, but found it in a little red bag secured to the inside corner of the main box. So, all parts were intact and in good shape. Assembly consisted of tightening 4 nuts, 1 for each leg of the table, and then a total of 12 additional bolts // 4 to secure mounting plate to the top of the post 8 more to then secure mounting plate to underside of the table. All bolts lined up cleanly/correctly which made assembly incredibly easy. Leaves are supported by a wooden bar that nests into each end of the mounting plate. Each bar has a little hollow on one end that acts as a grip to pull it out, and the underside of the table has a pre/attached stop that prevents the bar from being pulled too far out. Minor thing I didnt like was that some of the parts were in a box that was staple gunned into the underside of the table // which kept things from shifting during transport, I guess. Having to remove the staples from the bottom of the tabletop was irritating. Total assembly time was about 1/2 an hour. Very happy with the table!

    Perfect Fit!

This 42 table is perfect for my small family room. I wanted a dining space to eat in some civilized way while watching TV! The leaves fold down to tuck it against the wall when not in use.

    Surprising Quality

I wasnt sure what to expect for only 158, but was very pleasantly surprised to receive a high quality, heavy table. It was extremely well packed to avoid shipping damage. It only needed two tools for assembly and both were provided. Once assembled, it looks beautiful in the small space in my mothers independent living apartment. She would have preferred a darker finish, but the quality and solid wood construction more than made up for it. The cheesy formica and wood laminate tables I looked at in the local furniture stores for 250 and up dont hold a candle to this table. With the two 9 leaves down, it only protrudes into the room 24 and when its time for a little pinocle game, putting the leaves up make a perfect surface. Highly recommend this table.

    MISGUIDED DESCRIPTION

THIS ITEM WAS LISTED AS BLACK/CHERRY. IN REALITY THE PED ONLY WAS BLACK AND THE TABLE TOP WAS MED TO DARK (COULD BE CONSIDERED CHERRY TO SOME). I WAS EXPECTING A MATCHING DARK CHERRY.

I love .but dont love this table

Dont take a gamble on buying this table unless you are ready to send it back or fix the problems yourself. After reading the mixed reviews, I needed a small portable table for our rec. room and took a chance that the problems with quality control would be addressed on this item. I received a table two weeks ago that had the hinges installed on reverse. The table also had a deep crack going across the top which was very noticeably filled with a wood putty and shipped out. The table hinge screws were intstalled at an angle making most of the lines of the tabletop off center. The workmanship on this is very poor. The top is a clear stained fingerjointed wood which may be unattractive if you want a smooth tabletop appearance for your dining area. This table shows every glued seam. So after two hours of taking it apart, reassembling and restaining it a darker color to cover the factory issues, I kept it as a simple table for playing tablegames in our rec room. The cheap price and the feature made it worth it. If you are handy and a bit of a gambler.go for it!

    Wonderful table!!!

All I can say is WOW! This table far exceeded my expectations. I had no idea what rubberwood was but the price was right and the size was perfect so I took a chance. It looks like a good quality pine. The surface was ready for finishing. I gave it 2 coats of colored varnish and it looks great. I must say it is one of the best online purchases I have made.

    Good value for the money

The table is the perfect size for my new apartments kitchen. I have one side down and pushed up against the wall, but it can easily be moved out and fully extended to comfortable fit four people. I got the cherry finish with the black base and it is good looking, although the cherry is not quite as dark as I had anticipated. It looks more expensive than what it actually cost and I like it very much.

Legs were attached backwards so when the leaves are down the table toppled over

I just recevied my table yesterday and had the same problem as another reviewer, I was so irritated and let know it. The 2 legs that you can pull out to prop up the leaves are on backwards so when you attached the legs and wanted to stand it up the legs were right next to each other and it fell right over. I first reordered another one then a few minutes later cancelled it. I did not trust them that I would get the correct one. Glad I was not cry. Even 2 of my neighbors were over as I was asking, Im I wrong here or are these legs on backwards! So frustrating after unpacking it all. Now its on my porch waiting for UPS to pick it up.

    table legs not adjusted correctly

The legs on the table would not slide over when I opened the leaves. The notches were in the wrong place, and I had to remove a hinge on each in order for them to move so the leaves would open up all the way. Also, the little grey rectangles are too high, and hard to move back when I want to put leaves down. Obviously the solution was to cut out the notches and move them, but I could not do that, and the fueniture assembler I hired, after installing the legs, I assume did not feel this was an assembly job, Also, when you say fully assembled I would think the legs would be on and in working order.
