I do not like putting anything together. This bed was super was to put together. My sister slept on it, now this is the sister who complains about a bed in a five start hotel!! To her this bed was super comfortable!!! Okay you saved the day!!!
Overall: Recommended. Good price to performance ratio, the bed is solid and designed well, the instructions are easy enough to follow. A note on assembly, be careful to not tighten all of the bolts until you are 100% done constructing the bed, you want to make sure everything is aligned first. The design and style are a nice addition to a living room and the daybed is much roomier and easier to clean (just change the sheets) compared to a couch : ) Plus you can change up the decoration and colors with a few accent pillows whenever you want. The kids put this together in record time with minimal swearing, so assembly was good.
It is sturdy and my son feels very secure in it at night. I am thinking about adding a bunk bed board to his mattress setup. They said a foundation was not required, but he feels it might be sturdier if he added the board. He is a very large adult male, so sturdiness is very important.
He uses the trundle part for storage, so a lot of stuff is out of the way until needed.
I liked this bed has curves and no pointy parts, so if you have an unsteady person you dont need to worry they might put their eyes out if they had a fall. Im even thinking about installing this in the craft/guest room with a pop up trundle so I can accommodate guests.
The beds arrived way before time expected. Delivery men were great and carried beds up a flight of
stairs to the room it was going. My husband (single handedly) put the beds together. he did play
around with head and foot metal until top bed was high enough so bottom mattress cleared without
a problem. The beds are for my twin grand daughters when they sleep over. so having the top bed
slightly higher than bottom was not an issue when raised.
It raises and locks without a problem and slides easily. I have a mattress cover, sheet and folded
comforter on bottom bed and using another comforter for top bed as a cover.
I was impressed with the thickness of the mattress (8 inches} and very comfortable.
(excuse the lack of bedding and mess, i’m still putting my room together) i didn’t have very high expectations for this bed in order to save myself from disappointment but now that its together and in my room, i can say for a fact that this is a great bed. unlike many other beds like this, it doesn’t creak or wobble when you lay down/sit on it. its light and easy to move and its tall enough to fit storage bins underneath. definitely need a friend or family member to help you put it together but its not hard to do. great bed!
I put this bed together myself. Took me about 2 hrs. I had to get on youtube bc the directions just seemed to be harder for me to read lol but I love it!

Better instructions might help. It took about 5 hours to put together.
