Changed my Mind on Daybed use.

I have not taken it out of box to set up. I since I got it changed my mind about using a Daybed. I bought a Queen bed instead. So I will be returning this boxed unopened.

    Good find for the price!

Great for office / guest room! Description was accurate. We thought this would not be sturdy but it is! Looks great and serving its purpose well thus far. We assembled the bed in just about an hour. (I highly recommend 2 people). The wheels on the trundle seem a bit cheap and I dont think it will endure much use but so far with careful maneuvering it has survived our first wave of overnight guests. We used the shipping cardboard to put on top of the metal slats (fits perfectly) and bought the 6 Walmart bunk bed mattresses and it turns out that our guest reported being pretty comfortable.

Most Versatile Piece of Furniture I Own

This bed set is great! The trundle is pretty easy raise and seems really secure when raised. The whole bed set was easy enough to assemble, although I had to adjust the height of the bed frame (not the trundle) to the lowest height by unscrewing the bolts and moving them to different holes in order to get the bed to be the same height as the trundle when raised up. The mattresses are thicker than I expected, which means the mattress on the trundle totally touches the underside of the bed frame when rolled underneath. I ended up keeping one of the clear tarps that the mattresses come in and using it between the trundle mattress and the bed frame to keep from shredding the top of the trundle mattress when rolling it under the bed frame. I do love that the trundle and bed frame are the same height - its the main reason I bought this set. I also bought a twin-to-king-mattress-connecting-strap for a little extra holding security when turning the two twins into a king bed. With the fluffy fitted mattress pad I put on top of both, you cant even feel any gap or bump between the mattresses. This is the perfect piece of furniture for my guest room - big decorative pillows propped up against one long side against the wall (with trundle put away underneath) creates a sofa for sitting and watching TV or playing video games; remove the pillows for a twin bed; pull out the trundle and pop it up for two matching twin beds (or you can leave the trundle lowered); put the two beds together with a fluffy king-size mattress pad for an almost-king-size bed.

    Exactly what we wanted

Its working perfectly as a guest bed. We did add some queen-sized eggshell cushion to the top of it (very inexpensive at places like TJ Maxx or Walmart), so you dont feel the separation between the mattresses when its a queen. That really helped make it comfortable for my parents and others who have slept on it. Thus far no complaints and its held people of various sizes and shapes. The only negative Ive found is that the mattress on the pop-up brushes against the bottom of the metal on the daybed frame. Im concerned that might cause damage over time as it slides back and forth. Weve considered putting bubble wrap or something over the metal so it wouldnt dig in as much.

    Pleasantly surprised but . . .

Overall this is a nice sturdy daybed frame, both my husband and I can sleep on it when put together as a king size frame, only two things make it less than perfect, you cannot get the trundle under the bed if you have a thick mattress on it, and the nice big armrests are great for getting into the corner and reading but a little bit problematic if you are older and getting out of the bed on a stiff morning. But overall I would recommend.

    product is sturdy.

a little flimsy but you get what you pay for!

Pretty much what we expected for what we paid. Perfect for a small child. Very time consuming to put together and a couple rods were twisted so we had to improvise.
