For the money, this hall tree is sturdy enough and nice looking (walnut color). We are remodeling and it is very efficient having something by the front door. I put it together by myself and it took about 3 1/2 hours. One problem I had during assembly was with the upper back panel. Be sure the side with the two small holes for each hook is facing forward. The tiny holes are hard to see. I didnt notice it at first and had to undo some assembly to go back and reverse it. It was well packed for shipping and there was no damage.

One thing I wanted to get out of the way as I havent seen anyone specifically answer what parts are solid wood and what parts are not. The only part that is not solid wood, is the bottom of the storage compartment. The bottom is MDF and just sits at the bottom. You could easily cut out a solid piece of wood if you needed to store heavier items in there, but I think it will hold up just fine. Everything else is solid wood and I believe it is pine from what Ive read on other sites and reviews.
One or two of the pieces had some slight damage (a nick in the wood), but for us it sits up against something and we dont see it. It was easy to put together and took about an hour or so. Everything lined up properly and there wasnt any missing hardware. The only thing missing was one of the foam pieces on one of the legs.
For the price, this was worth it and would recommend this over many of the other hall trees I found of similar price or even more... and those other ones were NOT solid wood. Be careful as I saw some labeled as solid wood in the title, but the description clearly said those were mostly MDF, plastic, and/or veneers.

Awesome. Now my entryway looks Pinterest pin worthy. I must admit the con is if you are not a savvy puzzle piece person the assembly will take you forever when you get to the bench. Also as others have complained their were 2 pieces that have obvious cracks but I’ll live with them.
This is a two-seater chair. It is small and light and perfect. The ledge on top is great for my ivy to drape around the items and shoes fit nicely in the bench. The hangers for your wraps are nice. It is a very workable item for a lightweight to medium need.

This is a very good item for the money. It was pretty easy to assemble . Not the best directions but not hard to put together
