Easy to build and decent quality

We really liked the look of the bed and the bottom bunk went together really well and fast but the top did not line up right and was more difficult to put together. Overall though we were pleased.

    Best bed in the house

Had for years, moved many times, still going strong. Best bed in the house. So we bought another.

    Best bunk bed ever

Bought as a Christmas present for our then 2 1/2 and 5 year old. we have had for over a year now and it is great. it did take my husband almost a whole day to assemble - but worth it. Like any bunk bed it is tricky to make the bed. We have a toddler rail on the bottom bunk for our little guy. I frequently climb and sit on beds to make/change sheets. My husband will lay on the bottom bunk with our little guy sometimes. he is 300lbs and we have had no issues. love the drawers for storage. Best bunk bed ever.

Attention when choosing a mattress for trundle.

I really like the bunk beds with trundle, however, it is important to carefully choose the mattress for the trundle. I have the bed on carpet and purchased a very nice mattress weighing approximately 45 pounds. It is too heavy for the trundle. The side panel is in danger of being ripped off or broken. The mattress is 8 inches deep which isnt really too high even with a mattress pad and sheets. I believe it is just too heavy. I am looking for a mattress in the 20 pound range. I dont expect it will be as comfortable, but will have to sacrifice comfort in order to be able to use the trundle. I have had 2 trundle beds over the past 30 years and I believe the manufacturer could have constructed the trundle with more support and better wheels in order to allow it to roll in and out much easier with a better quality mattress. I want to add to my previous review. I still like the bed. I believe it is made with good quality materials. However, I continue to say the trundle design is simply pathetic. As a previous owner of 2 other trundle bedsthey were fabulous compared to this trundle. Even with the lighter mattress, this trundle is simply a nightmare to pull out and push back in. I find myself often just wanting to leave it out all day because it is just too much trouble to try to push it in. I am concerned, one day, the side panel will be ripped off. Because it takes a lot of pulling to pull the trundle out. Likewise, my back is taking a beating trying to get the bed pushed back in! Previous trundles that I owned were a breeze to pull in and out on carpet, because apparently they had casters, rollers or wheels that allowed them to glide in and out easily. This bed takes a great deal of muscle power! If youre wanting to use it often, as I do, and not in tip top physical condition, look for another trundle.

    Great quality. Solid bed.

This is a great quality bed. It is nice and solid, super sturdy and has plenty of room to sit on bottom bunk. I loved that you didnt need to purchase bunkie boards or extra slats. This is a great bed to grow with your child. We had memory top mattress and I was worried that they would be too thick and he would fall off but there was still room on the bunk preventing him from rolling off. I love this bed and so does my son. (Excuse the mess in the room)

    Not bad for the price

Not a bad bed for the price considering one of these types usually go for 850 and over. The saying goes you get what you pay for though. I had some issues with this bed but I am decently skilled with wood working so I could fix the issues myself. I will go into more details below. Shipping and Packaging- The materials were double boxed and arrived 2 days ahead of schedule. There was a total of 4 boxes. Each box was doubled boxed. This was a good thing since each outer boxed was damaged in some way. Instructions- There are 2 instruction books that come with this. One for the bed and one for the staircase drawers. They are very basic and can be a little confusing. Some of the parts were not labelled which was a little of a hassle. I would rate 2/5 on the instructions and labeling. Material conditions: Most of the materials were in perfect shape. Some of the pieces on the other hand had tool marks and dents in them which was annoying but not horrible considering its for my 3 and 6 year old and they will add a lot more.. The really frustrating part was that there was some terrible quality control on a few pieces. One of the headboards didnt have a hole drilled for the wood dowel and only a partial drilling for the wood bolt. I am skilled enough drill them both so I could complete the project but something like that should never happen. Not for the price I am paying. The staircase rails also have 2 bolts that do not align. I can fix this myself but could be a huge issue for the everyday person who cant. I am sure my case is probably rare but 1/5 I would rate for quality checks. Assembly- I assembled it in my daugthers bedroom since I didnt want to have to move the beds down my narrow hallway. Their room is pretty small (Could fit 2 of the beds fully assembled). I assembled the bed and staircase (minus the drawers) by myself in about 6 hours. Definitely could of cut the time down by half if I didnt have to correct some of the fittings, drill holes, better instructions etc Overall I would recommend the bed if you are skilled with large assembly projects. After assembly its pretty sturdy and I dont think it will fall apart anytime soon. I weigh about 160 lbs and was able to walk up the stairs and lay in the bed without it creaking. Hopefully I just happened to get a bad one and this isnt a regular occurrence for other buyers.

    Loved it!

Love it! Very easy putting it together! Instructions and hardware very clearly labeled!

    Great value and quality!

The bunk set requires assembly, but the instructions are easy to follow. My husband and I put it together. The entire assembly takes 6 - 8 hours. Everthing is solid pine, except a few panels on the inside of the shelves. We are very satisfied with the set.

    Unbeatable for the price

This bed just cannot be beat for the price. Solid wood, very stable, not hard to put together (though it does take a while!), looks great. My kids are over the moon.
