It matches the platform very well. Only problem is that theres no where to attach it to the platform. We just pushed the headboard against the wall with the platform.
It took my wife and I less than an hour to assemble this bed. She was extremely satisfied with the look and I was impressed with the quality. It is all hardwood with a simple and solid construction. We were very pleased.

If you assemble in the order written in the instructions, one person can assemble this bed without any problems. The end result is very beautiful and exactly as described. We bought a 12 in memory foam mattress for the bed, no boxspring. The bed and mattress fit together solidly, no squeaks or wobbles in the frame. I would buy this brand again.
