This is a very good looking set up and most of the bed is made with real wood (the storage steps have some particle board parts). The set arrived in 3 separate boxes (one of them arrived a week later than the rest). Only one of the boxes contains the hardware so be VERY careful while opening the crates. Ours had red thread attached to the hardware bags. Each box has its own set of directions and the translation from Vietnamese to English is NOT GOOD. Yes, these are made in Vietman, so if youre a vet of that era you may not want to purchase them.
Take your time and lay out all the parts, and hardware. The hardware bags have tiny (and I mean tiny) pieces of paper in them with the designated part number (or letter) on them. Be very wary while opening the bags. Youll want to assemble these beds with at least two people as there are many steps and some require holding up partially assembled parts to attach to other parts. My wife and I spent somewhere around 3/4 hours assembling both beds and the steps. It is a very long process which is not helped by the fact that the screw heads are Allen wrench and the wrench provided is very small. My hands were literally numb by the time we were done.
I weigh around 190 and wouldnt dare to climb up onto the top bunk. The cross members are not very thick and the legs of the bed are quite thin, probably 2x3. A few of the bolts were the wrong length and I will have to cut them down to be able to use them. There was no extra hardware included with these units. So be careful. If you lose anything then youre screwed (pun intended). These are at my summer/winter cottage and Ill add picks the next time Im there.
I seriously didnt quite realize what I was getting into with bunk bed. First of all, yes you need to wait until both boxes are here. Secondly it doesnt matter what box you unpack first because you are going to need both opened and sorted to get anywhere. I had to dig to the bottom of the second box and remove almost everything to start putting the bed together. I would have liked a few more steps. You will also absolutely need another body to hold this sucker together while you get the bolts in on step 2. You will need them at least half an hour. But in the end, I didnt need any extra tools other than one screwdriver. I think it took me five hours, but that was also with children bursting into the room and trying tohelp and having one shot to help calm my nerves.
My kids room is pretty junky lol bht I wanted to show the photo. They are cleaning NOW and honestly it took maybe 30 mins to assemble I am so blessed and thankful. Thank you !
Was very easy to assemble and all the parts were in great shape. Built by myself in about 2.5 hours. My twin 3 year olds love it and its the perfect size for them.
This is a very nice bed once assembled, but assembly is not for the faint hearted. This thing has 80 pieces, not including hardware. This assembly is not for novices; if you are pretty handy you can plan an entire weekend assembling this bed. The pieces are manufactured very precisely and fit together well, but the instructions are OK but very small print and have to be followed PRECISELY. You also MUST have a power drill/ driver with a hex bit. If you are not pretty experienced with a complicated assembly you need to pass on this; it comes completely in pieces and is quite a bit of work to assemble. The finished product is nice but a lot of work to put it together
I our full house we were always challenged to find sleeping space for our adult childeren and the grandkids. Problem solved with the Twin over Full loft bed. Now when the grandkids do a sleep over there is room for everyone. Stairs on the side make it easy for them to get into the top bunk, as well as provide extra storage for linens and toys.

Make sure you schedule a whole bunch of time to put this thing together.

Very easy to put together as I did it alone. Did take a couple hours. Very low to the ground but all in all I am very happy with this purchase
