This is a very nice bed once assembled, but assembly is not for the faint hearted. This thing has 80 pieces, not including hardware. This assembly is not for novices; if you are pretty handy you can plan an entire weekend assembling this bed. The pieces are manufactured very precisely and fit together well, but the instructions are OK but very small print and have to be followed PRECISELY. You also MUST have a power drill/ driver with a hex bit. If you are not pretty experienced with a complicated assembly you need to pass on this; it comes completely in pieces and is quite a bit of work to assemble. The finished product is nice but a lot of work to put it together
