Bought this for my 11 year old son. We put it together on a Saturday. Took us a couple of hours to put together. Parts were labeled very well and all contents were packaged well. The contents were packed in four separate boxes. My biggest complaint, which is a problem with all furniture products, is that they all use allen screws. While they do supply a simple allen wrench to use, it is not a good tool in the tight corners. I just despise the use of allen screws. Other than that, I believe it is a very solid bed. I coupled it with an 8 inch memory foam mattress and he loves it. Very solid wood. Have not purchased a mattress for the trundle yet. The trundle is a snug fit, so it did take us a couple of times to get it underneath the bed correctly. Also, one of the drawers wouldnt go all the way back in its slot. My son figured out that a couple of the screws used on the drawer rail were not tight. Unfortunately, we didnt figure this out until everything was together. Luckily, he was able to reach and tightened those screws while laying down on the floor, and the drawer went in correctly. All in all, I would highly recommend this bed to anyone.
It was easy to put together with my hubby. Took about 2 hours. Quality wood and product. Make sure to get a smaller 6 twin bed for the trifle. Anything bigger probably wont fit. Great item. Will probably get the full over twin for my other kiddo.
My wife and I did a lot of research before buying this trundle bed. We picked it because of the headboard and trundle. With quick shipping and the price, it sounded like a good dealoverall, it was.
It showed up in 5 different boxes in about 5 business days. Delivery was good, the guys brought it into my garage and stacked them nicely since my Mother-in-law was the only person home when they delivered it.
I unpacked the boxes and the first thing I noticed were that the directions were fairly minimalist. However, I was able to figure everything out with little effort (common sense on bolt sizes, comparing how many of one over another to figure out which to use, etc.). The thin sliding wood backing was supposed to fit into a slot on the headboard and the two side supporting pieces, it didnt (no matter how much I tried to finagle it). However, after getting it together, it ended up to be fine. There was one hole which wasnt drilled all the way through on one of the slats, but easily solved with a wood screw. The slats themselves were VERY sturdy, solid wood, and heavy. I ended up putting a piece of plywood on top of the slats though for extra support. HOWEVER, there was a crack on a portion of the headboard, though it didnt go straight through, it was apparent from just looking at the bed. I didnt want to pack everything back up and send it back since it wasnt a structural issue, so I figured I could patch it with some wood putty and repaint the headboard with some semi-gloss white base paint.
Overall I was impressed with the unit. It was a little smaller than I expected, but still works fine for my 13 year old daughter. The trundle works fine, it is separate from the main bed, but slides under and looks like it is attached when not in use. It seemed stable and easily pulled in and out from under the main bed.
Ideal for our small bedrooms. My daughter has had this bed in another brand for about 5 yrs now. Shes 10 and its still excellent for her, sleepovers and for family that comes to town. Now my 3 yr old has this one for his room and its perfect in all the same ways. We have even more room for company! Read a review about slightly pulling out the trundle in case of rolling offthat works great! I truly love this bed because the trundle has the drawers on the bottom and it makes the trundle higher than most other trundles brands. Those brands you feel like youre trying to get up off the floorthis trundle gives height and thats what weve gotten most compliments on. We have high quality mattresses on these so no box spring isnt a problem either. Love!! the bed.
Purchased two of these beds. Very easy to assemble. The drawers were a little off with the holes that were drilled but we were able to make them work. Some of the pieces were split but it was in areas that were not visible so we kept them. My daughters love the beds.

Nice looking beds but a few splits in wood when arrived.
Purchased two of these beds. Very easy to assemble. The drawers were a little off with the holes that were drilled but we were able to make them work. Some of the pieces were split but it was in areas that were not visible so we kept them. My daughters love the beds.
