Parts are all stored in the headboard upon opening the package so there is the slightest extra cushion upon opening the box (clever). It is hollow and is fabric glued onto the square headboard frame.
Good quality- they give extra screws and the L wrench and everything was simple to install. Make sure to install the screws loosely until all parts are together then tighten them, or else the screw holes may not align. The wood was also easy to slide into place and the bed doesn’t wobble or squeak with an 8 inch memory foam mattress. Note the frame is light - I did put felt pads on the bottom so it slides easily, beware if you do the same. The middle part clicked down into place upon laying on my mattress for the first time. Headboard does wobble if I try to shake it but became better after tightening the inside screws (might have missed it the first time, not sure if i missed another).
Tldr solid bedframe, looks like the photos, light and easy to assemble. Headboard does wobble when I shook it intentionally but may be expected since it’s light.

Anyway, the box is long and heavy, and not a 1 person job to carry. It’s made in Vietnam and loaded with packaging materials. In fact, for the size of the box and with all the material, the amount of styrofoam is a bit surprising.
The instructions are minimal and still effective. All screws have threaded anchors and everything is fairly well made. The wood finish isn’t as smooth as expected, especially since wood is generally an oily wood that allows for smooth surfaces.
The distressed look comes from a few impressions on the surface which could be intentional but are far from numerous. The stain is slightly lighter than the name suggests but a good match for my room.
Overall, the minimal design is effective and sturdy. The wood itself is pieced together, much like a cutting board. If that could cause structural issues, only time will tell.
The footprint of the frame is only minimally larger than the mattress itself. As such it’s very compact and certainly not a design that begs for center stage.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and appearance of the bed. All the legs and side panels are made of single piece solid pine wood (you can confirm this by comparing wood grains and knots on both sides of the panel). Headboard is some kind of veneer, probably over butcher block instead of mdf, although I am not sure. The slats are plywood, probably the weakest point of the bed, wish they had used solid wood. The height of the slats allows Bankers boxes to be stored under the bed. The major negative point is that there are some knots on the side panels, due to the nature of pine wood. However, for the price I paid, I cant complain much. Highly recommend getting it.
The extra-wide slats are what really makes the difference. This bed frame is very sturdy, supports both memory foam and hybrid mattresses (I bought one of each) quite well, and doesnt squeak or groan.
The instructions are very clear, and it only takes about 15 minutes to assemble. I put together the first frame by myself and the second frame with my wife. Its definitely easier with two people, but not required.
There are a couple patches of double-sticky tape on the slats to keep the mattress in place, but I did not use these because I like to rotate my mattresses often, and they dont seem to move anyway.

I’ve become such a fan of , been using their mattress for years and went back to them when upgrading to a queen recently. Got this bed frame to go with the mattress and it is so great. Came packaged immaculately—very compact, all parts in perfect condition and all the styrofoam is wrapped in plastic so no balls of styrofoam rolling around for days after assembly—comes with extra parts and a cute little handy ratchet that I will be hanging on to! Beautiful bright warm color. So easy to assemble—I assembled it by myself in about an hour (not sure why other reviewers struggled or if they updated the manual to be more clear, but I had no issues) Seems very sturdy and high quality! Legs are really the only part that seem to be solid wood; headboard and sides of frame are the engineered wood but they actually look pretty good and that’s coming from someone who normally does not buy non-solid wood furniture. Great value!
Was exactly what I was looking for. Instructions say to not use power tools but was impossible to put together without a drill. Most holes didnt line up or werent even more then a pin hole
The frame takes awhile to put together. Once together, it is not going anywhere. It is solid and sturdy. I love the Carmel color option the low profile of the platform. The Velcro on the slats is great stay put system. I highly recommend. My frame arrived in good co diction without damage.
