Effective. I upgraded to this from a futon. It was the only frame I could find that could still fit my inner spring futon mattress which was still perfectly good. It was my frame that was bad. I didnt want to continue with a futon as I could never get the thing up and down by myself. I was extremely happy with this purchase. It does need two people to put it together as another reviewer mentioned but it isnt too hard to figure out how to get it together. The directions are relatively clear and each piece is marked with a letter when it comes so you know what piece goes where. It is easier we found out to build the sides first then the back. Really do need a power drill to put it together. Pretty strong piece of furniture overall and the back and sides still show up a little bit over my actual mattress. It does fit a full size mattress as it states. It also comes with spacers so you know how far apart to put the wood slats on the bottom. This was well worth the buy.
Might scream while assembling.Bought this for our toddler to replace a previous daybed from that we had for a decade and made 3 moves.
We are missing 4 bolts that are needed to secure 4 supports under the slats so there isnt as much give in them. Wood split in at least two locations while assembling. Paint finish is uneven and a few dings.
If I did it over again Id go back to and buy the original daybed which is just slightly more than this item and similar delivery fee and includes mattress.
