But it still works great. I love this bed! My 11 year old daughter loves this bed. It is difficult to put together. It comes all in pieces, including the little slats, which stay in place with tension, which is difficult to achieve with one person. I used wood glue to tack them in place and then paint tape to create the tension needed to hold it together long enough for me to get it all screwed in.
I hope it is sturdy. Beautiful bed. Absolutely a monster to assemble. Some of the holes were not bored all the way through. Instructions not well written. Better to use eye sight and common sense.
Buy It. Really great bed for the money. I shopped extensively before purchasing. Looks really good in my guest room. I put my money into a high quality mattress. Its a pillow top so its very thick and tall. It comes up almost to the top of the bed edges. Something to think about when you buy a mattress. It definitely took 2 people to put together though assembly was otherwise straightforward and pretty simple. Didnt give it 5 stars because it stank horribly of insecticide when opened. It caused me to get a headache and become dizzy during assembly and it was 2 or 3 days before it aired out. There would have been no sleeping in the same room with it prior to that. I appreciate that these things need to be protected from pests, but there must be less toxic options.

Yes please! I was a little apprehensive about this purchase because of existing reviews. it was not extremely difficult to assemble. Took us about three hours. An issue with a screw was resolved with an email. Great piece of furniture.
Three Stars. This is a pretty sturdy daybed. We purchased this bed for our guest room, and it looks very nice in that room. My only negative feedback is how difficult it is to put together. You need at least two people who are patient (and even then). Also, we discovered two knots in the woodwork that we had to remove in order to put pieces together. Its disappointing because now there is a crack and a chunk missing from two parts.
