I assembled this bedframe by myself...and I'm 8 months pregnant. It is a prety basic assembly, Yes there are a couple dozen parts, but most of the are exactly the same thing, serve the same function and are interchangeable. I love how easily the bed rolls. Can't speak to comfort, but young kids slept on it and had no complaints!
I received this bed yesterday and had it out of the box and put together in about 90 minutes by myself. The instruction are very easy to read; just double check to make sure you have all the holes facing in the right direction and you can't really mess up. The bed itself is very nice and sturdy once it's put together. I didn't find any poor craftsmanship on any of the bars; they're all nice and smooth to the touch. I got this and paired it with a 6" mattress for my 5 year old daughter and have no fear of her falling out of the bed. That being said, she loves her new bed and the "club-house" that she made under it. This is definitely a great purchase for any kid, especially if you are tight on room.
Good quality bed for the price. Assembly was a bit annoying at times as the directions were inaccurate at certain points. I have assembled china stuff before and caught the error in instruction before it became a huge loss of time and patience.
I would recommend the purchase as it is sturdy and my kid loves it. Just put dense pieces of foam at the corners where it meets the wall to prevent scratching and vibration.
I bought this for my 13 year old son's bedroom. The room is on the smallish side and we wanted to maximize space so that the could hang out with his friends to watch tv and play video games. This is PERFECT for that, the futon is great for adding additional sleeping space. It was relatively easy to assemble too. The only criticism I have is that it could be sturdier. It does shake a bit when my son climbs up to the loft bed. I think with some ingenuity and more building knowledge than I possess, it can be tightened up more.
In a nutshell it is the absolute perfect solution for a gaming/hanging out/sleeping over, man-cave for a 13 year old boy!
All about fast shippintg, required assembly time and relatively good quality is true. I had one quality issue when a hole for a bolt was partially welded over but nothing that could not be fixed with the right tool.
Be aware that the original ladders are unusable. Your kid will not want to use them because the metal stick will hurt his/ her feet. It is also very difficult to get from the ladder on the bed and then to get down. I am in the process of adapting an aluminum industrial ladder for easier access.

this bed is for my 5 year old and I was a little scared of him going up & down the ladder. Well he's doing a great job.
I tried myself and were not as confident.
The ladder bars hurt the feet. that's why I only put 4 stars. But that's a sleek thin structure. And my son says it doesn't hurt his feet.
I love the fact the ladder is integrated to the structure without being angle since it does save some room.
My 14 year old put it together - pretty simple instructions. With a regular mattress, it's a tight fit under the daybed, but it slides in and out easily. Nothing fancy but solid and keeps guests off the floor. I would buy it again.
We ordered this for our grandkids. We had another bunk already in the room. This bunk is somewhat taller and has great headroom on the bottom bunk. It is very sturdy (our oldest grandson is nearly 6'tall and weighs 175lbs). Drawbacks: smaller space under the bed if you are looking for storage, My husband had a difficult time assembling all the tiny parts and as stated in other reviews the plastic pieces needed for each of the mattress support rungs were difficult to put in place. He had several interruptions during the process so this took him the better part of a day to put together, probably 5 hrs after deducting for the interruptions. Final drawback is that because of it's height it is a little more difficult to make the top bunk especially for someone who is shorter (I am 5' tall). We solved this problem by placing large caster style floor protectors under each leg. Since we have hardwood floors, we bought the type with carpet on the bottom and I am easily able to slide the bed away from the wall and gain access to make up the bed. Kids will be doing this on their own soon so it was important that they be able to reach all sides as well. Despite the drawbacks, we are very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this piece of furniture.

Nice and sturdy

Very cute bunk beds, and surprising great quality for the price. Took a little while to put together but not too bad. Great purchase.

Its okay
