    Almost perfect loft.

If they would redesign and add in cross bars it would make it much less shaky. It was the perfect thing I needed for 2 boys sharing a room.

    Perfect, sturdy, easy to assemble

Bought this along with a staircase. I wasn’t worried about the ladder comments since we knew we were getting the stairs anyway for getting in and out. I couldn’t have been happier with this purchase. The bed was so easy to put together, I actually assembled it completely on my own (I thought I’d have to get my husbands help at a certain point but ended up not needing it at all). I also appreciated that it came with a whole package of spare parts, even though I didn’t need them. The bed seems incredibly sturdy. Oh, and we also got the shelf accessory (not pictured). That works perfectly as well. My only complaint is how hard it is to change sheets and make the bed, but such is the case with a top bunk ;)

This bed…you either need it or you don’t

Well let’s just start off shall we? I’m a captain, not an engineer, but I spent a lot of time learning all principles of my ship. I’ve built my fair share of IKEA engines, so I’m no spring chicken. I decided to add this bed as quarters are getting a little small. Make sure to schedule yourself at least three hours to put together if you are doing it alone. Mostly Because each individual piece is wrapped in plastic! Also make sure your neighbors are out. Each piece chimes like a giant wind chime every time it strikes something. Now, for putting it together…The screws are difficult to work into the metal. Using a drill wound up stripping the first few screws. The manufacturer could have made these thumb screws, but instead opted for rounded top screws, so make sure you are deft of hand. The Allen wrenches provided are also slightly too long, so if you’re thinking you’ll be able to simply twist them around until the screw is tight, you’ve got another thing coming! Finally after several hours, I was able to get this up by myself. Overall, this was very difficult in the physical aspect of things. If the pieces were a little smarter, I think it could have gone together quickly. Let’s talk storage. I got this initially because I’m headed back to the academy for further study. My quarters were too small to accommodate a second desk space, and this makes it possible. Now let’s talk who should buy this. If you are an adult purchasing for a child, this bed comes with brackets to attach to the wall. The bed DOES wiggle slightly when getting into it, even pressed flush against the wall. I have opted not to bracket, as I may change my mind where I want the bed later. I don’t think it would tip over though, so no real need to bracket other than holding the bed perfectly still. If you’re an adult buying this for small spaces, I would recommend headboard bumpers for the uh, shore leave activities. Again, this bed doesn’t sit flush with the wall, so it moves around a bit. So far, nothing is squeaky. I’m also around 5’2” and my head runs directly into the bunk. I have to crouch down a little, but when sitting in the bed I don’t slam my head into the ceiling. A good compromise, I think. When thinking about this bed, also consider your level of how much you care about a perfectly made bed! Having those tight corners looks great, but this bed and its railing are very tight on a full mattress. I would not expect a child to be able to make this bed, and even more so trying to tuck the corners in every morning would be painful on your fingers. I’ve had the bed for a day now, and while I’m not in love with it, I would say this bed is a great solution for small spaces. Suggestions to make it better: add wingnut screws for easier turning, don’t wrap everything in plastic, second back support bar to keep bed from wiggling, and think of something else to add to the bed other than a bracket to secure it to keep from wiggling. Happy building!

Sturdy, but hard on the feet

This is a sturdy set when put together. The ladder rungs are small, round metal. Even my grandchildren don’t want to climb up. We will need to find some way to make the climbing less painful.

    Great bed for the money!

What people don’t understand is this is a metal bed and obviously it will not be as sturdy as having a wood loft bed. Second, because it only has a top layer of a bed, yes again it will rock when children go up or down. However, I have had no issues and have a queen bed under. Great space saver and instructions were very simple. Yes, you do need more than one person to do this job. I’m happy I purchased it and it was of great quality in my eyes. Will highly recommend for a space saver !!!!

    White Bunkbed with Futon

All parts came labeled and bolts pack as well as tools needed to assemble. Nothing missing and if you follow all directions it’s very simple to put together (3hrs by myself). Mine does not shake nor is it wobbly like I’ve read in reviews, there’s no squeaking like others have complained in previous reviews and it’s great quality. I highly recommend if your in the market.

Not the best quality but it's okay

The instructions were absolutely terrible it pretty much had to guess what you were doing after getting everything all assembled bed seemed kind of flimsy and wobbly for my 10-year-old all in all I guess it's okay for the money I wouldn't buy it again
