I believe that you get more for what you pay for this.
Quality is great, very sturdy, the mattress is surprisingly thick and comfortable, wood finish is perfect.
Assembly? Take your time, but is worth it.
Set three deliveries, over several days: base back slats, sides and the mattress. Instructions were included in the second delivery (box containing the sides). Mattress arrived five days later (over a weekend). All hardware included, no extra pieces. Requires an allen wrench to assemble, which is included. If you have a set of allen wrenches, or an individual T shaped wrench of the correct size, use it - provides better leverage than the one supplied, and will make assembly much easier.
BE ADVISED that the base of the futon does not contain glides (purchased additionally at a big box retailer). Might be an issue if used on hard surfaces.
Also, the futon color cover DOES NOT match the color on the website. Khaki twill cover was ordered, (coffee--cream on the site). Though packaging/labelling states the color of the delivered mattress as Khaki, it truly resembles the Natural or Ivory color. A separate cover will need to be purchased, to match desired color preference.
We purchased this futon for occasional overnight guests in our office/computer room. It took less than an hour to assemble and is a more affordable alternative to a sleep sofa. Pulling it into sleep position is easier with two people.
I would highly recommend having a partner to help assembly this. It was confusing at first but if you follow the color and number codes, make sure everything matches up, shouldnt be a problem. The diagrams in the instructions helped a lot but you really need to pay close attention when it comes to which piece of hardware to use. Took me and my friend(were both in our 60s) to assemble it in about 2 hrs.
the super instructions made assembly easy. Only a couple of steps required 2 people. Only one minor problem, hardware was not top quality, burrs on threads made some bolts hard to use.
Purchased for my 19 year old grandson. He loves it and says its comfortable.
Company shipped mattress separately from bed and at s later date. Description did not mention that and that is my only complaint
This is a great futon. Put it totally together in about 40 minutes. Very comfortable and looks very nice. We dont have to worry at all about companys sleep.

Thin futon but decent for its price
One star off for some nail hole cover keeps falling off. Otherwise its great for its price.
