    Great loft bed

Will be ordering more. Great loft bed. It was fairly easy to put together in just under an hour.

Great way to add space! Damaged some in shipping and a bit shaky.

Very happy. We bought this bed for our 11 year old daughter for her birthday. Its very cute and a great way to add floor space. There were a few spots that had damage, scratches and dents but not enough for us to send it back. It is very shaky when climbing up or moving around but still seems sturdy. She really likes it.

    Really like it

Well built!! I had this bed for about a month now and its really great. The bed is little shaky but stable. It has a nice size desk and a lot of room under it.

Aming quality, doesnt shake as much as some reviews stated.

Value. It took me 3 hours to put together having my 25 yr old son tighten the screws with purified Allen wrench. Only needed an extra set of hands to attach 2 pieces slats into bed. The quality of this bed is impressive, the color is true to description. Love how it looks! I purchased dark brown felt big strips cut them up to 2 x 1 to stick to the bottom of each leg (9) to protect my floor. Although there was 2 between bed and wall I decided to add self adhesive round felt, 1 1/2 to the four pieces that could possibly hit the wall. Feels and looks very durable! LOVE this bed for my son.

A good space saver, but has some issues.

The biggest issues with this bed (that Ive experienced so far) are in the parts and assembly process. While the instructions are easy to understand and in theory the construction is simple, there are many pieces towards the end of the frame construction that you will have to manhandle into place because they dont fit properly. On more than one occasion I had to forcefully bend pieces to get the screws to line up with the holes properly. The worst example of this is the main crossbeam that supports the mattress. Its supposed to be bent up at a 90 degree angle on both ends so that it sits flush with the frame and then dips down so that the mattress can be placed on top. But, when I took mine out of the box, one end was only bent to about a 45 degree angle, meaning it was not laying down anywhere NEAR flush with the frame! I thought I was going to have to send out for a replacement piece, but finally I was able to force the thing into place by propping the bar up over a pile of books and pushing down on the end of it with my foot as hard as I possibly could to bend it into the right angle / and this is a sturdy piece of too so it took some serious force. Huge pain in the ass. Some other things of note: / The desk is placed VERY high. Im 63 and still have to lift my hands considerably higher than whats comfortable when I sit in a a chair of average height. Youll likely need a height adjustable office chair to get high enough up to comfortably type with this thing, especially if youre a shorter person. Dont expect this desk to be usable at all for kids. / One of the shelf pieces was totally miscut. Its about a half inch too big for the space its supposed to fit, meaning I had to ram it into place as hard as I could to even get it close. Then when I finally got it down flat, the screw holes were about a half inch out of place, but the thing was jammed in so tightly that I couldnt adjust it. It works fine because its securely hammered in there and not moving regardless of the screws, but its still annoying. / The bed itself is sturdy enough, but like any loft, it does shake a decent amount when youre climbing up or moving around on the bunk. Keep in mind that because the desk is attached to the frame, whatever you have sitting there will be at risk of falling off if you shake the bed too much on your way up, or during other activities. Regardless, the bed is safe and youre not going to be at risk of having it collapse on you in your sleep. When you get past the issues listed above, the bed is actually really great at saving space, as one would imagine. I live in a tiny NYC apartment and its freed up a ton of room underneath for me to use. So as long as you can actually assemble the damn thing and youre careful with the shakiness, it does the job. However I had to chop off 3 stars for the rather extreme problems I had with assembly, to the point where it was almost unbuildable a couple of times.

but I guess that is OK because it is pretty sturdy. We wouldnt want the little one dying

Worth a buy. Took some time to put together but I guess that is OK because it is pretty sturdy. We wouldnt want the little one dying in a loft bed collapse like last time, would we?

    Sturdy and functional

Love the design and structural design. Easy to assemble but requires at least 2 people. Unfortunately it came with a bad weld (angle not squared) and took 4 calls to receive new piece. Took multiple weeks. Not great person service follow up Sturdy for light items.

    Terribly Scratched Up

Most the the frame was scratched up right out of the box.

    Lofty expectations, but painfully disappointed.

I had great expectations for this loft/desk for my son because it solved a great deal of space issues for his room. First off you definitely need two people to set it up to make things go easy. Once finished it looked great and the full size mattress fit, but man is it a tight fit. My biggest concern was how sturdy this bed frame was and after reading another reviewer who stated it was rock solid with him and girlfriend on it I took a chance. It is not rock solid and does shake quite a bit when climbing up or moving once on top. So from the standpoint of being stable we were disappointed. Disappointed to the point we are still considering returning it. What they dont tell you in the description is you need to have feet made of steel. It hurts to climb up and down the ladder so I would suggest leave slippers on when climbing and put them at the end of the bed to climb down in the morning.

Great for those small high/ceiling NYC apartments!

I moved to a small efficiency apartment in NYC to be closer to my office. I need an office space in my apartment, but dont have the square footage. After looking at several photos of well/designed efficiency apartments, I saw several ideas that made sense to me. My building has plaster walls (and who knows whats back there), so I was limited to ideas that dont screw through the walls. I saw several photos online of loft bed designs that were similar to my decor goals. Caveats for a lofted bed no matter the model 1) You are going to be at least 5 feed above the floor. This isnt a trivial height. It requires using either the built in ladders or a separate stand alone ladder to get into bed at night. If youre on medications, or go out for a night on the town, BE CAREFUL. 2) Make sure you have the head space for the bed first. If your ceilings are low, this is the WRONG choice for you. Banging your head or hand in the ceiling is not a good way to relax before going to sleep. However, if you have the right kind of space, this is an absolutely awesome, stylish choice for an apartment. The Full/Size Loft Bed comes with a desk and two built in ladders. The box is HEAVY. So, delivery through was awesome! (Someone else had to haul it up 3 flights.) The bed and desk comes in a pretty tightly packed box, so it fits up old, pre/war stairways or in elevators. The bed comes with a full set of instructions. I highly recommend reading all the instructions before starting the assembly process. Careful planning on the assembly greatly helped make this process easier than many flat pack assemblies. I recommend using your own tools if you can. While the bed comes with a small wrench, etc, I recommend investing in a small assembly toolkit / you and your hands will thank you. After assembling the bed, I was able to install the desk and two shelves. Be careful not to over/tighten the screws. The screws are exactly the right length. Any more, and youll push through the surface! What I like / Clear Instructions with the fasteners grouped for pre/assembly planning / frame is solid but not cry heavy. / Unique mattress box/spring idea using dozens of rods (very clever) What I dont like / The ladders are very narrow / somewhat of a nuisance to get up and down if youre older than 10. I bought a separate stand/alone ladder to use. It does have 2 built in ladders (one on the side and one at the foot) that are part of the supporting frame. / No adjustments for the top mattress rails. Youre stuck with the height it comes in. Not a big issue if youre aware of it up front.
