Great bed for the money, now that it's built. Really a challenge to build it though
One of the 3 boxes had line art of the wrong bed on it. Wasted 2 days trying to contact the company to make sure it was the right box because it states you can't return if you open the box.
Also the instructions are very confusing about which bolts / screws to use on which steps.
Also had to go to Lowes to get longer bolts to connect the bed to the stairs
BUT now that it's together, I'm very happy with it.
This is a very sturdy bed. I am happy with this purchase and the customer service team. We have had the bed a couple months and the only flaws I have noticed are one screw holding together the three boards on the second bunk came lose very quickly from people using that to stand up or from our boys climbing but it does not affect the sturdiness only looks. Really good looking bed, I would prefer the bottom bunk be a little lower to the ground for a couple reasons: it is a little high for young kids, lots of storage underneath which limits the space between the bottom and top bunk. I also wish the ladder could go on either side of the bunk...it limits the set up in the room. My husband and I put the bed together, easily.
Other buyers had issues with the shipping of this item (exposed/ruined wood) but we did not. It came double-boxed and all of the pieces were in good condition. The company does not give you one piece of extra hardware, so do not misplace any or you'll find yourself without enough hardware to complete the job. It was for certain a 2 person job, at times we needed a third person. Be sure to use a good quality (we used Gorilla wood glue) and that helped a lot. Also, the wood slats for the mattress supports only suggested screwing down every few boards, but we got some 2 inch deck screws and screwed down every single mattress support slat on both sides and that helped quite a bit as well. We have this item in our guest room for visiting family and grand kids. I think it will serve its purpose there well but would not honestly expect it to hold up to heavy daily use. 4 out of 5 stars for its mediocre quality and to be honest I believe it was a bit overpriced at almost $700. I will need to place some metal braces on it from Lowe's to help the wiggly nature of it. It will serve us well for guests.
The trundle is not included and it's expensive to buy the trundle. Be sure not to buy any mattress more than 6 inch for this bunk bed. First, it's too heavy (I really doubt that the bed can hold two adults 1 kid 2 heavy and thick mattress). Second, it's dangerous for the kid sleep on the top. For the price the product is just ok. I put it in the guest room.
The product description and title are incorrect as of the time of this review. The bottom bed is a full bed, not a queen. If you have a queen-size mattress that you intend to use with this bed, it will not fit. The manual correctly identifies the bottom bed as only accommodating a full size, not a queen, however it's a bit late to learn that if you've already purchased and started assembly.
The bed came in two packages that were delivered in great condition. The the instructions were very straightforward and it took my husband about 2 hours to completely put together. The tools needed was an Allen wrench (which was included) and a screwdriver. For the top bunk I bought a twin XL mattress and it fit perfectly and we used out old queen for the bottom. We didn't get the truddle but the space under the bottom bunk is awesome for storage containers. Overall a sturdy bed and a great buy.

Super good and pretty practice
Super good and pretty practice
Great for sleeping but not jumping!!
Bought the trundle as well, so it's sleeps a whole family. Great for my guest room!
Okay for a guestroom or growing children, certainly not long term/heavy usage

Caution: Twin over FULL, not QUEEN.
