It took me and my other three friends more than 2 hours to assemble it.
The wood was hard and heavy.
I ordered this bed because me and my sister were moving out into a studio apartment. Assembly wasnt hard, but did take a while because of how small the details in the instructions were. It was a little difficult to discern how the separate parts came together because of how it was organized and presented.
Make sure you have a classic + screwdriver as well as an electric drill, because some holes will need to be created. Bring extra furniture pads for the corners because they only come with a few.
It fits a standard twin size mattress and is very solid and not wiggly in framework (as long as you assemble it tight but not too tight).
Ok, so now some cons. It came delivered with some pieces cracked and almost broken, so that shows how -esque some of the pieces are. That being said, the entire bed is very heavy, and will require at least 2 people to carry it. The drawers knobs dont fit very tightly onto the drawers, so superglue is recommended.
All in all, not a bad short-term investment. The length isnt as long as you think, so its good for apartments or dorms.
My wife put it together the first time and it started falling apart. The problem was the locking mechanisms that hold it all together. The locking mechanisms hold the pins in place but you need to screw them down pretty tight or else theyll loosen up and the parts become loose.
A couple parts got scuffed during shipping but they were all inner parts (not seen normally) so not a big deal.
Overall still pretty nice just make sure everything is tight otherwise you might wake a toddler when the foot board falls off at 2am
WOW!!!!!!! Amazing bed. When you buy something online, you never know how it will turn out. My son(11) had a lot of fun building his new bed. It was very simple assemble, directions were clear and the pieces were not too big for mom and 11 year old. Not sure how long it took but definitely under 2 hours. Huge plus, the drawers are already assembled. Added to ease but also means they are well constructed. Quality wood and looks nice.
Very nice for the price. No damage to any of the pieces. I am a female and put it together by myself in about 2-1/2 hours. Not hard at all to put together.
