Great bed! It was pretty easy to set up. Me and a friend put it together in about 2 hours, with no problem. All pieces were there. It does wobble slightly when climbing on and off, but its definitely sturdy enough to hold me (22 yrs old, 130lbs). The steps do not hurt my feet at all when climbing on and off. Theres definitely enough space underneath for a desk and a short bookcase. Im 51, and can almost stand up underneath. I have a pretty low ceiling but I can still fully sit up on the bed. As some have said, the box was extremely heavy but none of the individual pieces are too much to carry.

I only had one part that I needed another person, but it took me a little longer than the estimated time to put together. As long as you dont tighten all the screws until the end it was super easy to put together.
This bed is just what I needed! Before when I had a Small low to the ground bed all of my pets; bunny,cat and dashound all like to pee on my bed so I really needed this bed that is high of the ground and look perfect in my room (Im redecorating) and since Im so short(410) I can easily walk under it with out bumping my head on the bottom of it, and it doesnt take up to much space!
Overall has been great. New buyers should know that while children dont complain, adults who step on the ladder to put sheets on will find out that the narrow rungs hurt your adult feet!
I bought this to save space in a tiny studio apartment.
Putting it together took a while, but wasnt bad. One of the main legs was badly damaged though / A severe dent (no damage to box, so must have happened before packaging / bad quality control?)
Im an adult, 45+ 59 and weight 150lbs. The bed is big enough for me, but just barely. So far I have no complaints about the stability, even with the damaged leg.
I like the built/in ladder on the ends of the bed, which means I dont have an angled ladder sticking out into the room, but the rungs of the ladder are small enough they hurt my feet. Also, the width of the ladder and the gap in the upper railing is a bit too narrow, making getting in and out of the bed pretty awkward. If the side railings were removable Id be tempted to put up a side mounted ladder to make it easer to get in and out.
Purchased 2 of these / easy enough to put together, sturdy and creates the extra space needed / fits a computer desk, chair and small dresser, perfect for our kids.

Bed can fit a TWIN XL mattress even though it doesnt say this is what it is designed for. Mattress will be really snug; but will fit.
