The bed is AWESOME but the assembly was a special kind of heckin nightmare. I mean, if you like to rage and punch walls then this might be for you. Or, alternatively, if you enjoy torturing yourself with furniture level assembly, but on steroids, get you some. My kids named it Fort Butthole though, so it was worth my soul dying a little inside.
Product is solid, was missing 2 screws, reached out to customer service for some assistance. They asked for a boatload of info just to confirm the order just to tell me they didnt have any extra screws they could send me and to go look for some myself. Great product, terrible customer service.
It uses machine bolts for assembly and they all take the same size wrench which is nice. The directions are only pictures so you have to pay close ation. I assembled the ends on the wrong sides as I couldnt tell from the pictures which was which and it wasnt apparent until the 2nd to last assembly piece. It takes 2 people to get the top piece installed on the frame unless you have a way of suspending it while you line up the bolts and get them started. Other than that it was pretty easy to assemble by myself. It is very sturdy.
Whew / this was a challenge to put together. It was very heavy, and I had 2 helpers. I got two of them so that I could create a private space for each of my twin boys (who need to be near each other, but always fight). I set up the bottom as a bed, and on the top I put down the slats and covered it with plywood to create a platform for sitting and playing (I call it the loft). With 2 helpers, it took 3 hours to put together the first one, and 1.5 hours for the second one / so you can tell how much of a learning experience it is. There was only one place (different place on each one) where the holes has to be redrilled, but that wasnt a problem. The fabric are very good looking, and I ended up hanging them with hooks, rather than use the velcro. I would consider these *very* strong. Tons of bolts / and very long. The instructions were pretty clear, and all of the parts were there. An electric drill with hex bit is necessary (I cant emphasize this enough). I would definitely buy these again / but hopefully I dont need to. Beautiful!

Awesome, but expect assembly to make you want to scream

Very sturdy for teenagers
I liked the way the ladder was for the older teenagers and the quality seems very sturdy for them.
Sturdy bunk bed
