This is my second Tall bunk bed - the previous one was honey stain for my older daughter. They have improved the design a bit in the past four years, and it is even sturdier. Moreover, the parts are very well labelled now so there was no confusion putting it together. It took me about 8 hours to assemble this bed by myself - just had someone help me lift the top bunk onto the bottom. But this is a really solid bed!
My only wish is that they had the option of a side ladder for the tall mission style bunk bed. Still, nice product at a reasonable price ($400 on sale).
Nice sturdy bed. My kids love it. The only thing I dont like is the bottom bunk doesnt have enough space hight wise from top bunk. My son bumped his head and few times already.
I assembled it completely on my own, easily put together. Took awhile because I did it alone. Well put together. My two complaints are wish it had a solid base for the mattress to lay on. The other is that I wish it had a different way to attach the top and bottom better. Just has four small screws and a short dowel.
This bed is BIG, it came in 3 separate boxes. It was pretty simple surprisingly to put together however I do advise looking at the image and making sure the holes are all in the right place, its easy to put something backwards and not know it for another few steps. The bed is very solid, the stairs however dont attach to the actual bed very well so I would recommend putting it against a wall. The overall quality is spot on, sandpaper foot grips on the steps, easy slide drawers, would be nice if they had some accessories such as a step to get in to the bottom bed, my almost 2 year old has a hard time getting in, or maybe some under bed drawers would be fantastic.
This is a great quality bed with very sturdy wood, which was my biggest concern ordering online. It comes in four boxes. The drawers on the steps are nice and large, as well as the steps them selves- my husband and I have no problem going up the steps to assist our kids in making the bed on the top bunk. The only negative thing I have to say is how long it took to put together. It took 3 of us an entire day to assemble (including opening boxes, and laying out the pieces). However, after reading other reviews, it was expected. My kids and I love this bed, and have used the open space on the side for books, a small toy bin, and some small decorations, and theres still room for more. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a great quality bed with stairs.
The bed came in very good packaging and arrived in excallent shape. The instructions were easy to follow though you do need at least two people to put it together. Very sturdy and pretty finish. All in all a great bunk bed for a good price. My granddaughters love the stairs and big drawers.
I ordered this because its shipped 90+or- percent dissembled. My apartment has one of the smallest stepped turns in a stairway possible. It came in 3 boxes and everything fit in my small stairway fine. It did take me about 11 hours to assemble, but I was by myself. And it was extremely difficult to put the top bunk on top by myself. I thought that the steps lifted up but the 3 drawers pull out. If it was made of a stronger wood and cost less, I would carry a picture of it.
Got our bed quicky, in 2 shipments. Started with boxes 1, 2, and 3, which built the bunk bed itself. The stairs were boxes 4 and 5, and box 6 was the trundle.
Setup takes a while. I did the full, 6 box assembly over 3 different days. I recommend a good drill with Allen and Phillips bit attachments. Be prepared to have a LOT of cardboard to recycle but that is because each box is double-boxed to protect the contents.
My wife and sons love the beds. They are solid, very sturdy, dont rock or squeak, look good, and they even smell good. They are beautiful beds, and I fully expect them to last for many, many years. This was an investment for our family, so we did the research first, and we are very pleased.
We wanted to buy locally, but after ordering it at a local store and waiting for over 4 weeks for it to arrive, we gave up and ordered from through . Within a week, the bed arrived and we put it together in 2 days. Like others have mentioned, there are a lot of pieces, so it took a little bit to put it all together. We couldnt have been happier. The bed is great and made out of solid wood. The drawers are large and function nicely. The only problem I have are with the bed slats. They are 1x3 pieces of wood and have a few knots in them. I have replaced a couple when they broke and even added 1/2 inch plywood on top of the slats to give more strength. We highly recommend this bed and highly recommend buying the bed from . They shipped the bed fast and was well packaged.
