This bed is perfect for us. It does take a while to assemble as expected but the stairs didnt come with instructions we had to look them up online. All the right pieces were included. Very durable!!
It took 2 adults (1 with an engineering degree) several hours to get this thing assembled. The instructions arent very clear and the holes are not drilled in the proper places for some of the parts. That issue was the most frustrating and is why the stair rail is missing a screw. We were just tired of drilling new holes when this is something that should have happened in the factory. Also, I stepped on one of the steps to make the bed and it CRACKED. I weigh 150, so this should NOT have happened.
Hopefully the seller will getthis message. I noticed that theres a replacement order in for me I do NOT need a replacement order I have everything I need with the bed that I already ordered so please do not charge my card again
I am simply making this statement as a record of it because I have no idea where the replacement order came from when I told the representative that I have received all the items. The problem was I received the bed within three days apart but all the parts finally came SO please change my status to show correctly.
Also this bed is very very sturdy and made with quality wood!
This bed would have been great had it not come with dents and gauges. The straight bed railings for the top bunk have multiple scrap gauges that they just painted over, however they are deep enough to be noticed, I took a picture but it doesnt do justice to how deep it is. Secondly, many boards were not cut to correct lengths causes us to force them on causing dings or to have to cut them ourselves because they were way too long to work. Some even came a bit too short so we had to re-drill new holes holes.
The bed is sturdy so I will give them that credit. But for being a undamaged giant box within a box that means they packaged it damaged and it wasnt damaged in the process of shipping.
It would be nice if contact information was given in their portal to contact customer service..
The unit is very well constructed. No particle board. Feels very sturdy. The directions are only OK, for something with 100s of pieces. It took 2 of us about 6 hours to assemble. I am an engineer and a contractor. We are both very mechanically inclined. If you are less mechanically inclined it could be a nightmare. has nothing on this.
Took 14 hours to build. Sturdy quality bed. Need two people to complete a few steps in instructions. Quality product with great customer service. Set aside a weekend to finish the job.
Bought this bunk bed as a present before Christmas, and it took a lot longer to assembly than I anticipated. Should plan for multiple days and some help from 1 other adult in the house from time to time. After it was finished, the bed is pretty sturdy and has a lot of storage space. It also has a few nice shelves on the side to display things or as extra storage. Power tools definitely needed or you will have blisters afterwards even when wearing work gloves.
