Overall, this is a pretty good piece of furniture. When building it, the instructions were a little unclear. Definitely not for someone who has never built anything. While building it also, I noticed that lots of the screws ended up stripping the wood with minimal effort and it was unclear until I had finished screwing that the wood had been stripped. One comment I have on the instructions is that they often gave you what could have been easily 4-5 instructions, had been compressed into one complicated direction. Once the bed was built, it was very nice. I dont have many complaints on the after product but thing I noticed is that after the trundle was removed then placed back under the bed, it became very hard to re-align the trundle so that it didnt look off centered.
Im impressed with the sturdiness of the bed. The side rails of the top bunk are quite solid and I have no concerns that a sleeper would break through and tumble over the side. Also, there is very little bed movement transferred when sleepers toss and turn. The bed came very well packed in 3 heavy duty, double boxed boxes very securely packed in styro-foam. The only damage I found was a small indentation on one of the side rails, but it is hardly noticeable. The instructions for assembling the stairs was missing, so had to go online to get those and a dowel pin hole was missing in one of the stair side panels that I had to drill myself. Other than those issues, we are quite satisfied with out purchase.
This bunk is amazing. Extremely sturdy. It took my husband about 5 hours to put together (I only needed to assist a few times). Worth every penny and more!!!
My boys love this bunk bed. And so do I. I love the built in storage and it is Sturdy enough that my husband and I can lay in the top bunk with our son at bedtime if needed. The quality looks great, and the storage steps are really deep with lots of room. We waited a long time before buying a bunk bed and Im glad we waited for this one!
This bed is solid wood and very pretty in person. The instructions could have been a little more clear by adding words, but otherwise it was pretty easy to assemble. Kids love the bed it is sturdy only problem is the trundle is difficult to align and put away.
