I selected this not only on the prior reviews but the hope that the wood graining as shown in the picture would be accurate. I was trying to match old family furnture that had a small bed.
I am totally thrilled that the grain pattern and color are as advertised and match my family heirlooms incredibly well.
This is a really nice bed frame. The instructions are excellent, just clear diagrams laid out very well. The parts are numbered, so it is easy to follow along with the instructions. The bolts are separated by size in a blister pack, and a few extras are included. There is even an included ratchet wrench which speeds assembly. I took my time putting it together, it took roughly 75 minutes. I was able to do most of it myself - there is place towards the end where it really helps to have two people.
The frame itself is very sturdy and rigid. It looks great! The wooden slats are held together like a ladder with velcro strips, that mate to strips in the bed frame - so they dont slip once placed. There are two large adhesive strips on slats that keep the mattress from sliding around. The wood headboard looks clean and modern. The bed frame holds my 10 inch memory foam mattress with no problem. Overall, I am really impressed with how well this frame is designed.
The main reason I liked this bed was because of the 12inch storage area under the bed. I already had these great storage containers at about 11 and a half inches. But they do not fit under the bed. My sons toy containers are shoved in a corner of his room and now have wasted space under his bed.
Theres one piece in particular thats a little difficult to assemble - like its too long by half an inch. And the whole thing is squeaky. Looks good though.

This sat in the box for about a month before I could do anything with it. One of the metal bars for the headboard came bent inwards and it was an absolute nightmare trying to bend it open enough to insert the second piece. There ended up being at least 2-3 metal parts that were bent and needed to be reshaped with pliers before the bed coukd be put together. If it hadnt been so heavy and I hadnt waited too long, I wouldve returned it. Thankfully besides all that, its been a decent bed.
