I waited several months before reviewing this item. I wanted to make sure it is as sturdy and well/made as it initially seemed. Im happy to report that this is an excellent piece of furniture! I bought the yellow futon, and it is a really nice, vibrant shade of mustard. not too brown. Assembly was a breeze / it only took me a few minutes and I did it without assistance, aside from flipping the unit over once the legs are placed. The seat is stiff, but not enough to make it uncomfortable.
The only downside of this purchase was the manner in which this futon is packaged. It comes in a giant cardboard box with very little extraneous packaging. The box isnt even taped or stapled, it is glued together. At some point in its voyage, the box came unglued on both ends and the futon was just hanging out. Miraculously, there was no damage to it at all. that being said, it could have gone the other way. I was incredibly lucky.

This is a VERY LONG futon/couch/sofa. I am 57 and I completely fit on this. My co/worker who is 6 also fits completely on this. Everyone comes into the office to sit or lay down on it. I work long hours some days and its nice to have a GREAT place to take a quick rest if I need it.
This couch is beautiful! Really fits well with our room. It was pretty simple to put together and arrived in a rather small box. Unfortunately it was folded in half for shipping and one of the hinges on the bottom of the couch came slightly damaged. Still works fine so far. Not the most comfortable couch in the world, but it is just in an extra sitting room in our house and is fine to hang out on for short periods of time.
My boyfriend folded it into a bed and tried to lay down, and it tipped over on him. So if used as a bed you need to lay directly in the middle.

Beautiful couch, not the softest but affordable and adds style to my bedroom.

It is not that comfortable, do not count on it as your comfy couch where you will take a nap or watch tv for hours.
