6 Month Update: Have had this about 6 months. It gets light use as it is in a home office. All of a sudden one side will not lock back into place after laying flat. Im disappointed that it has already failed after 6 months of light use. It has been slept on 3/4 times by my daughter when she visits for 1/ 2 nights. I have filed a warranty claim.
Original Review: Overall happy with this purchase. It will be used in my home office so it is not a main source of daily seating.
A few things to know: this is not a deep navy blue so if you want that you will be disappointed, I wanted this color tone that I saw in other reviews and was hoping thats what I would receive and was happy with my choice, easier to install it with 2 people, the leg install is tricky because of the angles (especially the bottom left screw on each outer leg), just be patient, keep the other screws loose and tighten after all are screwed in a bit.
It is firm but not uncomfortable to me (its not a sofa), I does make creaky noises when you sit on it but the less you weigh this probably wont be as much of an issue I am on the heavier side, you probably will want some pillows to make the corners more comfy, and lastly I will use a topper whenever someone sleeps on it so they dont feel the creases from the cushions.
Assembly took me and my husband about an hour due to the issues with getting that bottom left leg screw installed on each leg.
Im in love! The price, the quality, the feel. It has fool proof assembly. The price! Im honestly shocked that its considered a futon. Some reviews say its too firm or not comfortable. Its not uncomfortably firm (for me and my family) If your preference is a couch you sink into, this isnt it. I LOVE it. It folds easily. Its above and beyond what I expected!
Product was fairly easy to assemble upon finally getting into the box! It seems fairly sturdy but creaks a little when you move around. Its not the comfiest so I added a couple of Sherpa blankets and its much better now. The colour was not as advertised but I much prefer this colour so bonus!
i love the design and feel of this couch. just the right amount of glam in our guest room! its easy to assemble and fold out, and i love the fabric. its comfortable as both a couch and a bed (though i should say for the record that i prefer a firmer mattress).
i went with green after seeing customer photosthe stock photos dont really display the true color. i am very happy with this product so far!
Update July 2022: I have been using this as my room couch for about a year, and one of the arms is coming off. the screw appears to be stripped internally so there is no way to repair it. For the price, thats the level of quality I expect. I will likely replace it with something safer so my kids dont get hurt playing of the loose arm
I purchased this futon over others because of the memory foam description, hoping that wed have a comfortable sofa for sitting on and for guests who sleep over. Unfortunately, it is not comfortable for either. The back cushioning is not one you can sink into, so you need to add a lot of throw pillows, which covers up the design and takes up space, making the couch not as deep. The side arms are hard as well, making the corners very uncomfortable and not good for leaning against. The sofa cushions that you sit on are pretty firm, which I dont mind, but you can feel the bottom of the sofa and they sink in in certain places after awhile. If you have 2 guests sleeping on it, the person sleeping on the top portion wont be comfortable because of the middle crease and bumps. That person would definitely need a mattress topper.
Although it didnt work well for us in terms of my expectations based on the memory foam description, the positives were the very affordable price for a great/looking sofa that works well in apartment spaces. It definitely looks more expensive then what you pay for it and I love the modern style of it. It also came well/packaged and was super easy and quick to assemble. If you are looking for a stylish piece that wont be used for long periods of time, this one would work great and is a great price!
My husband and I decided to turn our spare room into a sitting room as well as spare room. I was nervous about ordering a futon and chair online through but Im glad I took the chance. I am extremely impressed with the quality of this futon (and matching chair) especially for the price. First of all, its huge! My 60 husband can lay completely flat and is still comfortable, now I am more confident offering it to guests as a sleeping space. Secondly, the set looks beautiful. The color and material are perfect. I was torn between setting up as a modern/chill vibe or as a classy/elegant look but I went with the chill vibe and Im in love. My only complaint is that its not the most comfortable thing Ive sat on so therefore Ill be buying a memory foam topper for when its used as a bed but that doesnt change the fact that its an aming futon! You wont regret buying this. Oh and did I mention it was SO easy for me (a girl) to put together on my own! Bonus!
