The process of putting this together was not as bad as some have suggested. I found it to take just over an hour. The directions are vague and I wish I knew to order some things differently, but overall it wasnt any worse than your average build.
As for the quality, this was a mixed bag. The parts were solid and all there. However, there were some superficial dings and scratches. Nothing that stood out at a distance, but definitely there to bother the perfectionists. For the Price I cant complain too much.
Now for the place where it excelled and exceeded my expectations:performance. This is a solid, stable and sturdy base for my new foam mattress. I was nervous hearing reviews that it isnt quiet during adult activities but my experience was the opposite. Not a squeak, groan or creak out of this thing.
Overall, the packaging and cleanliness/pristine condition of the parts could be improved. As far as I am concerned the performance is most important and I am happy with this bedframe overall.
Some of the parts were marked wrong. A Q was a G part and a few others. Overall we had to use a clamp to hold the headboard section and footboard sections tighter. Nothing was that hard, just pitiful instructions. Good thing we understood the pictures.

I am revising my initial review since I have since managed to get the frame put together. It is a very sturdy frame and works great with our memory foam mattress. However, I cant rate it higher since the instructions are so absolutely terrible and some parts did not line up properly so you have to struggle to make the parts go together like they should
I chose this mainly because the reviews said easy to put together. Dont believe it. I am usually really great at reading directions and assembly. These have to be the worst I have ever seen. Whats wrong with using words in instructions?! Parts were mislabeled. A was C , G was Q, etc. Several screws didnt have the hex hole so couldnt use the Allen wrench to tighten
Please do yourselves a favor and find something else. This was the worst experience in assembly I have ever had.
It took me about 1 hour to put this frame together, it was easy enough I only had to look at the instructions once. After assembly, the bed seemed very sturdy and hasnt made any noise while getting on and off the bed.
This bed is prefect for a toddler transitioning from a toddler bed to a twin bed!! Took 20mins to put together. The slates Velcro down. They are a little thin and I was worried too thin. So far it has held up very nice!! Even when my 3yr old is jumping on the bed when he isnt suppose to. I have even slept on there a few times with him , with no issues. I absolutely recommend this bed !!
