The only damage on this was from me accidentally scratching the headboard piece. The little ratchet is adorable and useful plus they include an Allen wrench. This was super easy to put together, it took 2 people about 30 minutes and that includes putting one piece on wrong and having to fix it. The instructions are very easy to follow and so far its proving to be sturdy and looks decent. My cats are on the larger side and have not gone underneath it yet which honestly is preferred (no having to drag them out in the case of an emergency). My mattress is only 10in and fits perfectly.
This is a solid choice for a low/cost bed frame. The assembly was very quick and easy. Important note: It is quite low to the ground / even lower than I thought it was. This actually works well for me as it makes it easier for my 100+ pound pup to get into/out of the bed. But it could be difficult for older folks, and Im a bit concerned that our older guests may have trouble getting out of it in the morning.

I bought this to replace my king Malm bed from Ikea, which was like 100 dollars more and this bed blows that one away.
Its a sturdy matte black metal frame with some minimal wood accents. Much studier than the Ikea piece which was mostly MDF and was starting to loosen up.
Dead simple to assemble even for one person. Just a small number of beefy screws that go in very easily. It makes the Ikea bed seem complicated by comparison. I really appreciate that they include a ratchet. Never seen one included before, and it made the assembly go wayyyy faster than with an Allen key.
My one knock is the 36 bed height ended up being a little low. Nothing wrong with it but you cant even fit those thin storage bins underneath. I think the 44 would look a little more grown/up, and afford more storage underneath.
This was so easy to put together! It even came with a little wrench that really sped up assembly. And the bamboo is great quality! We also bought the 12 mattress and they go together perfectly!
