    solid wood

This bed was easy to put together- very straightforward and all you need is a Philips screwdriver. I built 2 twins in about 2 hours. The raw wood looks great with the organic coastal vibe we have. We ordered Tuft and Needle mattresses in twin XL and the 2 bed frames in twin XL and they work perfectly together. I was so thankful to read all the reviews and hope to support an company. The beds are solid, smell like fresh wood, sturdy, and easy to put together.

    Good

It is good, the only thing that could make it easier is labeling the parts just to save some time trying to find the right piece. But it wasnt really difficult to put together at all. Seems strong.

    A very nice bed frame!

Just received this bed frame. This could just be the purchase of the year for me! The assembly process was very smooth. All needed hardware was supplied, directions plain and simple. Plenty of room under the bed for storage. No legs to get in the way of storage boxes so you basically have the whole bed footprint at your command. In fact, ONLY four legs to deal with. This will make walking around the bed easier while making it up. No stubbing the toes or inadvertantly kicking a leg possibly causing damage to the frame. This frame appears to be very sturdy. I have to admit its only been a short time so any added comments may be in line for the future. I had been looking for a bed frame for about five months (pert near daily) to replace the current frame. looked at metal and wood. I did want one with a headboard and footboard. Although this frame has no footboard, I feel I have made a very worthwile purchase. Should the manufacturer ever decide to make one for this frame, I will be the first in line to purchase it. All in all, I would recomend the purchase of this frame. Economical, ease of assembly, sturdy, and nice looking. Plus, you can change the appearence with stain, paint, or leave natural, as is. Very much worth the addition to the casa.

    Perfect bedframe

The height is deceiving, Im 57 and with a 12 mattress I cant put my feet on the ground lol. I was expecting some chip out on the boards having worked with poplar many times and knowing how easy it is for that wood to chip but was pleasantly surprised to find very little in the important pieces and most of them sanded out decent with 220grit sand paper. Little bit of stain, poly and some silver spray paint on the hardware and Im quite satisfied.

I really like my new platform bed and..

Very nice well made. there is no squeaking and the wood is high quality. A knowledgable friend set about 30 minutes putting it together. My only complaint is that there is not wider slats at the head and foot, as the sheet does not stay that well tucked in because of the gap. Also, I seriously recommend you measure your mattress before you buy this. I always thought I had a regular queen size mattress because the sheets fit and it fit the box spring. I didnt think the 1.5 would make that much difference but my mattress is only 78 so the platform really is too long.

Solid platform bed with high clearance

Im 54 with some joint problems, so Id been worried about whether I could manage the bed assembly. It was not too difficult. The box in which the parts are shipped weighs over 60 lb so I didnt try moving the whole thing up stairs, I opened it downstairs and carried the parts upstairs. The instructions were very clear and the quality of the fit of the parts was excellent. One person can assemble this. There was one portion of the assembly that required matching rows and rows of dowels with holes and whacking them to get them seated, which was frustrating and fiddly, a second pair of hands would probably have helped. The instructions call for a screwdriver but your wrist and elbow will thank you for using an electric drill with a screwdriver attachment instead. Several critical joints of the bed are held together in tension by a nifty bolt unit that is tightened with a hex wrench (included). Total assembly time was about 90 min. I did not apply any finish, the bare wood looks and smells good. Some of the pieces (slats) had knots or other minor flaws, but these did not seem to affect the mechanical strength of the pieces and besides, theyre under the mattress. The bed is sturdy--no rocking or squeaking. I tightened up the bolts about 4 weeks after assembly, and most of them had very little play.
