Sturdy and basic with surprisingly nice hardware.

Basic isnt a negative description - this is a good no-frills option for anyone who wants something with clean lines. The handles are surprisingly heavy brushed silver that looks a lot richer than the stock photos. Rather than mounting on the wall (I rent), I bought a set of plain metal furniture legs and added them so its freestanding in my craft studio. Keep in mind that this is meant to be a wall mount, so it doesnt have a backing included; this could easily be remedied with a thin piece of particleboard. Re: Construction. It came together in a couple of hours, including a break in the middle for a snack. I mostly used a power drill, with some hand tightening of screws. Its all screws as well, no wooden pegs. Ive assembled a lot of flat pack furniture, so the diagram wasnt hard to follow, but could see how it would be challenging to someone less familiar with exploded views. The doors are interchangeable, and you can decide if you want the handles at the top or bottom, depending on how you plan to use the cabinets. The only caveat Id offer is that the hinges are a pain to adjust so that the doors are evenly aligned - not a structural issue, but annoying enough that I cant quite rate it five stars. Thats somewhere it would help to have a second pair of hands to hold the doors steady, but I managed fine by myself. It did come with a few chipped edges on the pieces, but for $107 I can live with those just fine.

    Not the best on instructions

The final product its okay but the instructions are definitely a nightmare. Took us 30 minutes just to understand which thing was x number. Doesnt told you which side is up… I dont know why it doesnt come with number already so its easier for the consumers.

    Great for laundry room

This a perfect addition to my laundry room! It gives a lot of extra storage. Well built and easy to put together. Great counter top area to fold clothes.

    No issues.

Bought for my son to store airsoft rifles. He put it together in approx 1/2 hour by himself. It is sturdy and had no defects.

This is not a solid wood cupboard.

Very good product. For my children the cupboard is perfect. It took a while but was easy to assemble.

    Pleasant surprise

I had the experience of another cabinet earlier and was not impressed so I did not expect much from this one. I was wrong. I mentioned that the earlier product was a poorer value than IKEA; this one offers better value for a change. The structure of the cabinet is somehow unusual: the load bearing consists of a solid plank in the middle (separating the two main compartments) plus a number of slats that constitute an external frame. You can see the slats in the photos; they are not there just for the show, they constitute the actual load bearing frame. The cabinet is then closed using thin panels made of some engineered wood. Incidentally speaking the back is make of the same kind of a panel, which is very nice given that the products in this price range usually have cardboard backs. The end result looks quite nice and is reasonably sturdy while also being lighter than the competition (not sure how much this matters though, as cabinets are rarely moved around). All the horizontal surfaces can hold a reasonable load. The compartments are well thought out. Assembly is rather tedious but pretty straightforward (with one exception). The horror, I used a power drill (like I always do for assembling this kind of things), otherwise I would have grown old during the process. I know what I am doing (and I never had any problems), but I do not necessarily recommend power tools for people having less experience and/or a heavier hand on the trigger since things can go wrong really fast if not careful. I mentioned an exception to the straightforward assembly and that exception is the drawers. One needs extra caution to square them properly; the guides provided on the parts are not enough for the purpose. I am guessing that people complaining about the drawers not aligning properly followed those guides as instructed and still got crooked drawers; that's par for the course given the insufficient guides. Overall I am quite happy with my purchase and I can recommend this cabinet.

Just nice enough not to look like a cheesy storage cabinet

No reviews but took a chance and assembled late last night. First the color. It is not any shade of brown, it's very dark with a hint of gray. so I'd call it soft black. Next the materials. Heavy particle board for top, bottom and middle, but the sides are lighter panels that have a nice finished look, much nicer than the average cabinet. The doors are the same design, so this makes the whole cabinet lighter than most. It doesn't look cheap, even thought the materials are. makes these in Malaysia, and those folks did a decent job and packed it well. The instructions had an unusual start, assembling parts of the two drawers first, then coming back to them at the end, but the main parts were fairly easy enough to follow. The most difficult, time-consuming part was the drawers, and it is too easy to put the tracks on upside down, which I did. Also nails are required for both the back panel and the drawer bottoms and I ran out of nails. The number of nails needed was greater because the back panel is two pieces and the nailing diagram didn't seem to take that into account. Hint: For the drawer bottoms you don't really need nails on the sides because a slider track screws over top. The hardware hinges and handles are cheap but they can be changed. As a budget storage solution it doesn't look half bad, and the larger size gives it more stability than smaller cabinets. My choice was between this one (19 x 40 x 71) and the nearly identical smaller version without drawers (16 x 30 x 71), about 100 bucks cheaper. The extra depth in the larger one was worth it in my opinion because you can stack larger items like chair cushions or hang garments, so it's a little more than just storage shelves. Assembly is 2-3 hours. The instructions say not to use power tools, but if you own a powered screwdriver and understand its torque settings and how to avoid overtightening then it will save a lot of time. Some parts like the twist cams should only be tightened by hand.
