I wanted the option of standing since I spend so much time on a computer. This is compact enough that it fits next to my regular desk in my home office. The wheels lock for stability. It took me about an hour to put it all together (by myself), and I did use a power screwdriver to attach the wheels. So far, it seems great!
I love putting furniture together, and Im usually pretty good at it, but I installed the shelf upside down (by the time I realized it, I would have to take the whole thing apart to fix it). Doesnt impact the function at all (just aesthetically the bolts show but hardly noticeable). I like that its light weight once its together (the box of parts was pretty heavy) and I can carry it up and down stairs little effort. Its pretty sturdy for the price. Takes some getting used to for raising and lowering (one knob turns opposite of the other) and you need to make sure the surface is even when you do so. I would recommend this item.
We ordered these for our Pharmacists that round with patients and they absolutely love them. Other staff members within our hospital have also asked where they can order because they love it!
I ordered this for use in my online ESL teaching job. Sometimes I want to be sitting, sometimes standing and like to stand for writing feedback. I have limited space, when family visits I need to teach in another part of the house so need ty, and I need places to set a few props and other teaching tools. This wasnt super easy to put together (took hubby and me an hour or so, and a couple of things were a bit stubborn), but this came with clear instructions, a genuine little screwdriver and well pre/drilled parts. Now together its very sturdy and meets my needs. My laptop isnt that big. Just know if you have a large laptop, there might not be room for a mouse without adding an extra clip on surface for it or something. Im thrilled with the quality and value.
This would have been perfect except the top doesnt extend high enough when standing for someone whos 59. Great quality otherwise. Takes time to put together, but not that difficult.
