Not bad to assemble (single mom. Did it myself!). Some parts seem wonky but made them all fit. Not the greatest quality but perfect for my office / spare bedroom. And for when my kids have friends sleepover with the trundle option!
Other reviews suggested a 6in mattress for trundle. There is plenty of space. Wish I had got an 8in mattress for more comfort.

This bed has exceeded my expectations. Still waiting on the delivery of the twin mattress for the trundle but it only took me a couple hours to put it together and not fully tightening the pieces until it was all put together helped immensely. I saw some people having issues with things not lining up and that wasnt the case for me. Everything fit perfectly together and is really sturdy. Now I just need to put some bedding on it and spruce it up. The full size with twin trundle is a perfect solution for someone needing to save space in a small room but not wanting to only have a twin bed for guests. Definitely recommend this product!
Happy to have 2 beds for when my grandchildren visit, yet also a comfortable lounging/crocheting couch in my craft room. Happy with this purchase for the price point, since I couldn't spring the extra money for the trundle that rises.
To be clear, we are satisfied with the sturdiness, construction, and overall functionality of the bed - why the low star rating? The end cap bed-knobs are not sturdy at all and were already stripped simply from assembly. This is not an issue of assembly error. The bed knobs were defective. Currently, theyre attached, crooked, and wobbly making the whole bed look quite poorly made. We are very unhappy, but what were we to do? The bed knobs were the LAST step. Disassembling the bed and returning it is not worth our time.
this day bed is great we use it for company and when we want to just relax in the office we and pull out the trundle and the grand babies can take a nap we don't have to worry about them going up or falling down the stairs. it is great for our guest when family comes to visit.

Just What We Expected
My granddaughter loved the bed. My daughter said it wasn't too difficult to assemble and it is sturdy.
