This filing cabinet is fantastic. You cant tell from the photo, but it looks very sleek as it is not plastic. The best thing about it are the drawers. There is a small drawer at the top (which you usually dont find in a filing cabinet) and the drawers slide in and out so smoothly, no matter how many items are stored. I opted to leave the wheel casters off, and so it is just the right height. Love it!
Exactly as advertised! Quality is good. Inside is rough/finished. Love having the utility drawer on top for scissors, tape, stamps, paperclips, etc. It was light enough upon arrival for me to move in the box, unpack and carry to my downstairs office. Wheels were easy to install by myself with a screwdriver. Meets all my needs for a home office. Very happy!
You can either buy a really expensive wood file cabinet, or one of these. It looks OK in a living room or home office. The design flaw is that the handle for the bottom drawer is so low, you have to reach almost to the floor to open it. I guess they thought the aesthetics would be ruined if they put the handle in a convenient location. Both of our cabinets arrived slightly dented, but we really didnt care. I doubt that there are any better cheap filing cabinets out there, anyway.
Arrived in perfect shape, and was just the right height to extend my desk. I love the desk drawer it has at the top, in particular. A couple things to note, though: you wont be able to use third/party castor wheels, due to the way that these are affixed; and the inside of the cabinet is raw, unpainted steel.
I PURCHASED THIS RECENTLY, AND THE KEY WAS NOT THERE. THE WHEELS WERE EASY TO PUT ON, AND AS FAR AS TIPPING OVER, ALL FILE CABINETS TIP OVER, IF YOU DONT PAY ATTENTION TO HOW MUCH YOU FILL IN THEM. EVEN THE 6 DRAWER CABINETS IN MOST OFFICES I AM FAMILIAR WITH. THE ONLY REASON I DIDNT GIVE IT 5 STARS WAS BECAUSE OF THE MISSING KEY. I AM STILL GOING TO PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE FOR MY DAUGHTER TODAY FEBRUARY 19, 2018 WITH THE HOPE THE MANUFACTURER WILL CHECK THIS ORDER AND SEND A KEY FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY MISSING KEY TO MY ADDRESS

Not bad for the price, I guess, but if I had known before purchase what I know now that I have it, I probably wouldnt have bought this thing.
The first thing I noticed is that drawers dont open far enough to allow access to files in the back. The last 5/1/2 of the drawers are difficult to access, especially if you have lots of files like I do. To get into folders at the back of the drawer, I have to remove a considerable number of files from the front. The second thing I noticed was that the drawer bottoms arent smooth. Instead, they have a series of ridges, not unlike what you see in corrugated cardboard. Its not that big a deal in the two file drawers since the folders hang, but they still interfere a bit with sliding the folders back and forth as a person must do to get to the files in the portion of the drawer that doesnt open all the way. In the top drawer, they are a bigger issue. The drawer is effectively 1/4 shallower than it could be, and if your stuff doesnt fit conveniently between the ridges, then it wont lay flat in the drawer.
On the plus side, it seems to be of decent quality. If youre thinking about spanning a couple of these with top of some kind to make a desk, I dont think I would cont on it for that, but for a stand/alone unit, I think itll do the job. A couple locking casters would have been nice, too.
I hope you can see the ridges in the pic. The photo didnt come out as nicely as I had hoped, but I think you get the idea. Also, the drawer is open all the way in the pic. The ruler is against the back of the drawer, and about 5/1/2 is still inside the cabinet.

I am so happy I bought this. Perfect size amd fits under my desk. Lovely finish and light enough to carry it by yourself up the stairs.
