Was nice at first but after about 4 months the seams in between the decorative buttons started to rip under light use. Fabric did not have a strengthener/liner and was light weight not for upholstery!
Update: it is NOT deep enough for people who weigh more than 140 pounds. My back is killing me and there is really not a way to sit comfortably for very long. The arms and back arent at comfortable heights. If you want it for decor and guests, its great. If you wanted a comfy love seat to read and lounge in ? Get a deeper chair.
Pro:
color is fantastically perfect eggplant/blackberry.
Fabric is exactly what I imagined - soft and rich
It looks amazing in my burgundy living room
Con
It was hell to put together. Because of the curved arms and the seat frame, its very hard to get the sides attached. (You cant see the latching pieces - its good that the hardware pulls the pieces that tight to the frame, but its very hard on aging fingers. I had a couch like this 35 years ago - instead of interlocking, tapered attaching hardware, it had more of a hook and eye, so that you could attach one end at a time. You have to attach both ends to the seat at the same time with this loveseat. Its difficult. Spousal screaming can occur. (Were in our 60s; this is a job for fortysonethings)
The screw system to attach the base and back did not line up, we used other screws to attach the two.
Its 4 too short and 4 inches too shallow - yes, I knew the measurements when I bought it, but height measurements are inconsistent on shopping sites. This measurement includes the seat cushions. Other furniture shows both measurements- with and without cushions. The same is true with the chesterfield arms - Id hoped that my end tables would fit under the curve, but they dont, by about 1.
So
It is a little more firm than I expected, but thats ok.
Its pretty ok that I have a place to sit that supports my back - not in a fancy orthopedic sense, but in a straight up and down, right angle way. Bonus- my feet touch the floor. So I can sit formally if someone I dont like comes to visit.
Its good for sloth-style curling up with a book.
Dont sit on it in silk clothing; youre likely to slide off.
Furniture shopping in the time of covid is not easy. I feel like this was as good as it could get, under the circumstances.
Im very glad I bought this with an alt.plan. When I can go sit in chairs and loveseats to decide what to get in person, this beautiful loveseat will look fabulous under our picture window. The cats love sitting on the back already. Thats another bonus - the way it sits means that they cant get behind it to sharpen their claws. Its height is perfect for our picture window.
So your mileage may vary. My comments were repeated in many other reviews - same pros and cons. Sum total is to have an alternative plan for where to put it. Have a sense of humor about putting it together.
This is the perfect pop of color and comfortable seating for my granddaughters teenage hangout. It looks good, can be wiped clean, and according to her its comfy. We are pleased with this purchase.
