Had I picked this in a store as is, I would have demanded a markdown. Its disappointing that someone would ship this as if it was intact.
Immediately out of the box I knew something was wrong as the lid wasnt lined up correctly. Turns out the left hinges were not screwed in but I soon realized thats because they have nothing to keep them in place. Even after fastening them, they come out again each time the lid is opened.
Only keeping it because its too much hassle to return an item of this size. Outside of that, its exactly what I wanted but annoyed with the faulty hinge. Bought as a bench to go next to a king size bed. I have also sat on it with the rescrewed lid on (for what thats worth, will need to keep a screwdriver permanently near it) and it was sturdy enough.
For the price that I paid this bench is great quality and nicer then what I was expecting based off of some reviews! I am so happy I bought this bench. It is perfect.
We ordered another one from a furniture store for 4 times the price of this beauty, sent the other one back for a refund. Kept this one, this is a good, sturdy and beautiful piece of furniture, we love it, you cant go wrong, screw the legs on and your good to go!
The idea of this was to have it as my coffee table/footstool with some storage but I am disappointed with the overall quality. I have had to tighten the screws on one of the hinges as they were flacking in the wind as if to say and I have noticed that just after a week of full use the material looks awful. It looks like it has been rubbed against a rough surface and is piling.
There is also lose threads all over it too from where it hasnt been trimmed properly either.
It looked great the first few days but now looks like Ive had it an age

Material poor quality
The top of this ottoman wore very quickly. Material frayed and looked very worn after just a few weeks. Have to return item for a refund.
Love my bench

Sewn crooked . Looks semi nice. Wouldnt buy it again

The storage capacity is not as much as I expected. With the lid padding it made it look like it was a couple of inches deeper.
