As of writing this review this carrier met Southwest Airlines size restrictions. It fits perfectly under the seat in front. Its a sturdy little bag for being mostly fabric and mesh. Note that it has very a short height, so be sure to measure your dog to make sure they can fit and turn around.
We got this carrier to bring home a puppy; it was small enough to satisfy Southwest Airlines pet carrier dimension requirements. It was lightweight and sturdy enough for a 3.5 pound mini-Aussiepoo. Although it has a stated weight limit of 20 pounds, I know it would have been too small for my 20 pound cockapoo. Southwest charges $58 for a pet carrier, so we saved about $25. Comes with a shoulder strap, but we didnt use it. Quality good enough to use again.
We are moving my cats across states and are taking them in the plane with us. This is the best bag for them. Both of my cats are a little older and full grown and they each fit perfectly in the bag! They also seem really happy in the bag and we’re excited to test it out on the flight!
I spent weeks looking for a decent carrier that would meet SW airlines insane size requirements. For some reason, SW is the only airline to offer nonstop flights between California and Montana (WA really since MT doesn’t even have an airport), so we’re forced to use them to visit my family a few times a year. My boy is 6.8lb and on the taller end with a long tail and tall ears. We have half a dozen other carriers and car seats, all of which are much taller than this one, so I was nervous at first. To my surprise he hops right in and lays right down! I’ve left it in the living room for about a month and he’ll regularly hop in and sit in it. We had to cancel our summer trip, but will be going for Christmas, and I’m feeling very confident he’ll be secure and comfortable!
PROS: meets SW Airlines requirements, very sturdy, buckles on zippers, removable base, lightweight, lots of openings, side pockets, decent carry strap, well-made
THINGS TO NOTE: base could be a bit softer (I’ll be adding a 1/4in foam pad in ours), no exterior clips/carabiners to attach things, can’t be converted to “backpack” style (at least I could not figure out how) which would make airport carrying easier
I was looking for a TSA approved carrier for my cat. My cat is about 16 pounds and he snuggled up in this and slept during the whole flight, so I would definitely recommend.
This is the 2nd carrier I bought on , the first one was made to cheap so I gave it away....Im going to be taking a trip on a plane in 4 weeks and I have to put my little 12 lb dog in a carrier under the seat in front of me, so I wanted a carrier with a lot of open mesh so she would have lots of ventilation and this one is the best I could find and for the price....its strong, has mesh on all 4 sides and on top. So she will be nice and safe in it. I purchased the medium size.
I needed a carrier for my kitty 15lbs he fits comfortably in it. He can see out and move around so not as timid when going to the vet. Very light weight but sturdy makes it easier carrying him with the shoulder strap.
I ordered this carrier to transport a new puppy back and forth to work, for socializing/training during the first few months. It was recommended to me by a friend. The bag is good quality and has several mesh panels to view the pet. The company also included a note in the package, stating a 3 year warranty if certain issues arise. That, was very impressive!
