I was able to snag the blue color (more of a blue gray color) one for our daughter (fave color blue!) for 100. We had been looking to upgrade her bed to a loft bed for a while. We originally looked at the Kura bed from Ikea, but they were constantly sold out and had a heftier price tag of 180. When I saw this one, I immediately read all the reviews and saw all the pictures, but decided ultimately to take the chance since this was solid wood. I arrived quickly and the box was a big one. No damage to the box, so we were hopeful. Hubby inspected each piece and started putting it together. It took him about 1 hour to put it all together. He hand tightened everything and in the end it was really sturdy. We do have a foam type mattress so hubby will need to reinforce the slats by adding a few more slats in the top and end of the bed to make the mattress more secure. Hubby only had two complaints, one, the bottom stair did not line up flush with the handle bar, and two, the handle bar piece was not flush with the bed. Other than those two minor things, the bed is great! Our daughter loves it! Bedtime is no longer a fight! win/win in my book! Did not disappoint
I havent had a chance to assemble the bed yet. However, I did remove all the pieces from the box to make sure everything was accounted for and intact. One of the pieces is dented (photo one) one piece is cracked (photo 2) and I put an example of the paint job. It is mediocre at best. The paint job is fixable, just bummed I may have to do work on something brand new out of the package.
I will update review once I get the bed assembled.
Overall, you get what you pay for. Hoping its always sturdy. Debating if we are going to keep it or return it.
To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about this purchase after reading mixed reviews but after delivery, assembly and about two months of use so far, its been fantastic! I bought two for my 10 and 7 year old rambunctious boys and they love them! They came well packaged and were easy to assemble. I could see where you could overtighten the bolts and potentially cause some damage to the wood so I would suggest not using a drill and just bolt together by hand. All in all Im very happy with my purchase and they look great! We have no dislikes

The screws stripped immediately. However I still wouldnt recommend you try buying it
