Enough to put together with the instructions provided. All the pieces were appropriately labeled to distinguish easily. Some of the bolts took some figuring out how to screw together but that could be because Im a novice in hardware. My son loved the bed. Fit his full sized mattress perfectly. The price doesnt hurt either. I feel very pleased with this purchase.
This is a wonderful bed, sturdy, well made, heavy, and supportive. It looks fantastic in the room, and really is a great value overall. all tools came with bed, took about 1 or so to build. Make sure you get the headboard in the correct orientation!

My son picked this frame out for himself had it built in under an hour and no complaints said easy to assemble and no noises after it was assembled.

I only gave it 4 stars because of how hard it was to put together. Instructions were not clear, at all.

Heavy and easy to assemble
Very heavy and sturdy. Only took me 40 minutes to unbox and assemble by myself. No damage to headboard or footboard during delivery.
