First off, my son loves this bed frame. The loft is high enough to give me and him some extra space in his room. We live a fairly small house so this helps a lot. It’s not too high of a loft where I am going to be worried about his safety getting up and down. There are two things to note. First, the instructions are terrible haha. Just some errors and weird printed image perspectives. Second, if you’ve got the model with the steps make sure you connect the steps and bed frame half on a flat surface. It’s was one of the last steps. I slide a small flat plank under the two ends when I was attaching the brackets so the legs of both would sit flush on the ground. This is really only and issue when connecting them on carpet. The stairs are lighter and will sit higher on the carpet compared to the heavier bed frame. I think this product is a 5/5 at the price I paid for it. Some how I got the frame with the stairs for $370 a couple weeks ago, but now I see it is up to $642. I clearly got a bargain haha. At $642 I’d probably give this product a 4/5 rating but it’s still good.
I love it!! It’s made of wood and very very sturdy. Simple directions. I’m a female and single and I was able to do it and figure it out with no help. Would have been helpful to have a second person holding boards at certain times. Very very very nice piece. Exceeds my expectations. This is perfect for my seven year old. Very sturdy.
Assembling any furniture is not easy. The bottom bunk is small, so we have our toddler there, so she doesn't have to climb or get hurt. I can sit up right under there. Top is y older daughter. It is very sturdy, and no toys or junk can go underneath it. It's a pian getting sheets on the bottom but that's because our mattress is a little thick and I'm 8 months pregnant.
I use mine with bed risers (must have 5) for a few extra inches. After awhile we took the slide off (it did work with risers but we built a wooden foot for it but I felt like my daughter just flew down it and it takes up a significant amount of floor space. All in all I would buy it agian-
Easy assembly, it took me and my friend 2 hours to assemble. Make sure that when your assembling you have the right parts in the exact spot bc ladder placement. We accidentally switched the two bottom side rails and had to quickly switch them around once we noticed.
As others have noted this product does have an awful smell that lingers, we’ve had this product set up for 3 days and i can still smell it upon entering the room even w the windows open.
After assembly I got on the top bunk to do a safety test to make sure it was sturdy before my kids used it. Although it did hold me just fine while lying down ( 170lbs) , when I got on the bed the pressure from me mounting the bed in a kneeling position caused the slat underneath me to make some sketchy cracking noise. As others have noted I added an extra set of slats to the top bunk. I had them from our old bed, but if your buying this I suggest ordering an extra set of slats and doubling up top.
Lastly, the side rails of the bed have weirdly sharp edges. The entire bed actually had sharp edges. I wish they were more rounded edges on the wood pieces.
My 4 y/o can get up using the awkward ladder just fine, and I love that I can kiss her goodnight on the on the top bunk very easily without having to climb it
Bought this for my almost 3 year old. Bed is a little wobbly but all screws are tight. Probably just because it's top heavy. The slats they provide are pretty flimsy and definitely need to add one more. Will probably have to add more heavy duty slats when my daughter gets older, if it holds up. My mom climbed in the bed with my daughter and read her a book, not sure where they got a 350 lb limit but I definitely wouldn't put more than 200 lbs in the bed. Stick with a 6 inch mattress for smaller kids and make sure the mattress is firm. We need a better mattress, the one we bought was falling through the slats which is why I recommend more slats! Will update later if the bed falls apart

Great frame! Instructions could be better.

Turn a small bedroom into a decent side bedroom

SUPERB BUILD QUALITY!
Takes awhile to assemble but wow is it sturdy and top end material. The finish is flawless, directions were accurate and my kids love it.
I’m afraid it going to break faster also it takes away from the nice looks
?I don’t like the damaged parts but it will break my boy’s heart if I send it back because one is going to have one the other want
Good for kids under 100 pounds

Pretty good overall 3.5 stars out of 5

Good but shipping box and item was defective
I like the bed, and kids loved it too. However, the shipping box and the bed frame were damaged.
My kids afraid of heights
Worried about getting him a normal sized loft bed. He’s 4 and this one was perfect. Saves floor space in his room, but it’s not too tall to scare him
A little wobbly but seems ok
