A great bed but assembly is not easy

So I purchased this bed (and headboard) some time in March. When I finially got it it came in about 7 or 8 boxes. It wasnt the easiest to assembly and took over 11 hours to do. However it does go box by box that part is aming. You only open one box at a time. The sturdiness is wonderful and actually adds some firmness to our mattress verses just a boxspring and frame. I love the fact it has alot of storage space and compartments to hide things. It has made it easier store blankets, sheet sets, and snacks you dont want the kids to find and get into. Over all the bed is wonderful and perfect for what I need. The assembly is the worst tho. Nice product.

Would buy again. Good quality, but difficult assembly and some design flaws.

Ive had this bedframe in king size for a year. It is also under the name Pharr Low Profile Storage Platform Bed and probably others. You know how furniture companies are. It is sturdy with smooth drawer movements. The wood looks good and solid, far from the cheap plastic veneers that chip at the corners on on top of pressboard you see with cheap furniture. Assembly directions are ok, no missing parts, but it is a long job, longer than any other furniture Ive assembled, took most of a day. With a king there is space between all of the compartments that is open from the top. Beneath the mattress are many supportive slats but there is nothing stopping dust and debris from being swept off the mattress and falling straight into the drawers/storage. I keep putting off improvising barrier to add under the mattress. It extends out past the mattress and has some sharp corners so watch your shins. Overall there are things to improve but I like it, and this was just about the only option that: was available in king size, had no headboard which would block my windows, had lots of storage under the bed, and was flat against the floor to prevent dust from getting swept under it. Pretty sturdy. Good size.

    Love the storage

Have only slept one night on the frame but am happy thus far. We were prepared for a 5ish hour day with assembly but with 3 of us it ended up taking around 8 hours. The work is tedious and requires a lot of patience. I do appreciate that the boxes are numbered and as long as you work on one box at a time it makes for easy organization. I wouldnt recommend doing this on your own if you can help it. The frame feels sturdy and is actually very well constructed once complete; I was quite surprised. I am enjoying all the storage space and was able to get rid of a 5 drawer dresser with this bed to free up more space in my tiny room. The price did make me a bit nervous without seeing it in person but I am glad I took a chance, I think we will really enjoy having this! Really Worth it

    Functional and Stylish

This bed works great in my small home because I always need extra storage. The assembly was a bit of a chore, but if you take it box by box, you get a rhythm going and its not too bad. Some of the boards were slightly damaged, but I wasnt surprised given the state of my boxes at delivery! I had to use extra screws in the middle slats, otherwise they were just sort of floating there and I didnt feel that was very secure. Price point was a bit steep (900).but overall, a unique and beautiful bed. I paired it with a bookshelf headboard from home depot. Not so bad.

    Awesome

Only reason its not a 5 is the instructions had unlabeled parts had to use some extra brain power. My son loves it!!

    Impressed!

It is a lot of parts to assemble most of the instructions were easy to follow. It took two people to assemble and a few hours. Overall, finished product is beautiful for my daughter. Very well made.

Solidly made, elegant looking platform bed

I was excited when the first of four packages for my Storage Platform Bed arrived (the other three came a day later). Assembly started that Saturday afternoon, and continued into Sunday. It took two people, reasonably skilled and with two cordless drivers, about 5 hours to assemble. Add at least 2 hours if you do all the screws by hand. The wood is solid, and the boxes are well/planned for assembly, but this is a complex piece of furniture. I will say the directions were clear and fairly easy to follow (it did take a little puzzling for the drawer slides, but once we had one, all the rest were easy). There were extras of all of the primary screws and bolts, as well as the wooden stabilizing pegs used in places. The wood has a nice smell, and is true to color. With two adults and a mattress on the bed, it is solid and does not shift in the slightest. The pull/out shelves will not support much more than your cellphone and a glass of water, but really arent made for more anyway. I will say I was disappointed that the drawers were not deeper / there was plenty of space remaining in the center of the frame / space thats unusable once the bed is complete. This is a solid selection among the options available, and is very eye/catching. I recommend it, just know what you are getting into on the assembly. Overall good.

    nice but overpriced

i love assembling projects like these, so that part was fun. extra time wasted waiting for replacement pieces (misaligned pre/drilled holes on 3 of the original pieces) and then only 2 of the 3 pieces they were to replace actually came. had to rig it myself to be done with it. as others have said, wood is nice but super soft and easy to scratch. drawer hardware is very low grade and left me feeling that this item is overpriced, among a few other corners cut here and there that feel cheap. drawers are smaller than you might imagine and just rickedy enough to bother me slightly. i am glad to have the extra storage. with the addition of homemade shelves i crafted out of the heavy cardboard it was delivered in, the door bins on each side hold 14 pair of shoes! This item is good! Satisfied.

Update: Sent mismatched items, but quickly apologized for mix up and offered to sent replacement

Update: They responded quickly with an offer to replace the mismatched pieces and apologized for the inconvenience. This makes us happy since we really like the bed design and find that the materials, while not premium, are quite satisfactory and made from sustainable younger wood product. This is the cause of some peoples complaints since the wood will be much softer than some people who are expecting hardwood would be expecting. Know what to expect and you wont be dissatisfied with the quality. Assembly is fairly straight forward but time consuming since you should not use power tools. If you order a product that is a simple platform bed with no storage compartments, then the assembly would be even easier. They just need to figure out the packaging for shipping such heavy items. The boxes need some more reinforcements in the corners because nearly every one of them seemed to have failed in the final leg of shipping. Ordered this as a set and got some parts white and some parts caramel color. Shipped in several separate boxes that mostly did not survive shipping, boxes were torn open and small parts were taped to outside of box, I had to go to a hardware store to purchase some screws and drawer slides that were missing. I got the bed fully assembled when the final box with headboard was opened to reveal that they sent me a white headboard. Now what, I have to take it all back apart and go get new shipping materials to send it all back because someone in their shipping department made a mistake? Well made and packaged.
