I really like this fireplace - it looks great and I love the flames, however, the heat output leaves a lot to be desired. I put in on 80 and I dont feel like it really warms up the room I am in. That said, my pets and I do enjoy the ambience of having a fireplace, but probably will still need to run the HVAC to keep the house warm. I was going to buy the Duraflame version now I am wondering if I should have spent a few more $$ for that one.

Nice Fireplace for Ambience - not so much on heat
