The best thing I can say for this bed is that it does get the job done. It was straightforward and simple to assemble. But do be aware that it is incredibly heavy. My husband did manage to get it upstairs on his own and consequently I have renewed appreciation for his strength. Definitely a better idea to have help available.
The bed functions fine. Head and foot move up and down as they should. The head moves rather quietly, but the foot of the bed is louder. My biggest frustration is that the base is also very noisy. Every move makes loud squeaking noises. My second biggest frustration is that the mattress keeps sliding around side to side and has to be shoved back into place each day.
On the whole, Im content with the purchase. I wanted to try out an adjustable bed and see if it helped my husband sleep better without committing to an expensive purchase. He does sleep better and snores much less. Meaning I sleep better too! I figure this bed will work for now and eventually we can upgrade to something that is quieter.
We bought the split king just in case we ever get split top mattresses. Good thing is you can sync the 2 frames together and just use one remote for a single topper. This frame was easy to setup and works like a champ and it arrived several days before they said it would. Would recommend very highly.
The reason for four stars is that two holes for the mattress stop at bottom end of frame were not drilled. Luckily my hubby has wood and metal working tools a plenty and knows how to use them. Took only a minute to fix the problem and have been sleeping like a baby on the recommended Zinus memory foam 12 in. mattress since. Less waking at night and stiffness in the am. Very happy with this purchase. Well see how well the mattress holds up, but so far a thumbs up.
Have not had a good nights sleep in years due to chronic back pain. I should have found this 30 years ago. I paired it with a very good Serta mattress and it is wonderful. Incidentally I spent more for the mattress than this base. The base arrived early and I used it with my old mattress more than 10 years old. I could have skipped the new mattress!
Wow! I wanted to give this great product 5 stars. Well packaged inside carton that had a rough ride from somewhere.
Heavy duty metal construction, simple assembly with 3 adults (really only takes 2 at minimum), brief and easy to follow instructions with matching photos. Unfortunately at Step 7 we could not install the mattress retainer bar because there are no holes drilled through the foot of the bed! Since the head and foot are not marked, at first we thought we had the bed reversed and were looking for the holes on the wrong end but in testing the motor and wired remote we determined that the bed was assembled correctly and facing the right way. No holes drilled anywhere! Called at 888-975-8243 but they are only open 9 AM to 5 PM Central time, Monday through Friday, so will have to email for a fix. Other than that it seems to be a great product and I may upgrade to a higher end model for the other bedroom after giving this one a trial run. For now it is just an expensive flat bed frame.
UPDATED: Prompt response from the next day asking for a copy of my purchase receipt to get a new base sent out to me. I emailed my Invoice and was expecting just the 19 by 54 inch part of the base to swap out but explained that they were sending a whole new base! And I can keep the one with no holes for the retainer bar to use as a flat bed!
Box with replacement was waiting outside my front door on the night of September 28. I could barely drag it in and it sat in my bedroom hallway until my family helped me unbox and set it up on Thanksgiving. This time there are holes drilled to insert the retainer bar but no clips to fasten it underneath so we used the clips from the first beds unused retainer bar.
The clips are not shown in the instruction manual Parts section Step 2 or mentioned in Step 7 regarding installing the retainer bar. It just says To install the mattress retainer bar, Insert ends into holes at the foot of the bed.
Im really impressed with the heavy duty construction of the 100 and the quality of the bed and remote functions. The leg height is perfect for using up to four 32 Quart Sterilite under bed storage containers in the areas away from the motors.
LUCID just needs to work on quality control prior to shipping out the packages to make sure the holes are drilled and all parts are included. Sally at was very prompt and responsive via email only to everything.
November 26: Sally at emailed me to let me know that the clips are no longer included. The weight of the mattress pressing against the retainer bar should hold it in place.
The order arrived before the estimated arrival and in good condition. It was easy for my husband to assemble. It is very strong and solid. It works perfectly with the sleep number mattress we already had. My husband and I both sleep much more comfortably with the elevation of our head and knees. We love the adjustable bed base and feel it is a very good value.
There were no pre-drilled holes to set the mattress bracket into. The photos and instruction booklet refer to them but somebody goofed. Had to attach to metal frame with zip ties.
I sleep much better when my head and shoulders are elevated. I have sleep apnea and as a consequence, I had to sleep on my side. My shoulders were taking a beating! And sleeping on my back made me snore so loud that the windows were rattling! The tendons in my shoulders were starting to rebel with every move above shoulder height and it was getter harder to lift things. I bought this bed with the thought that if I slept on my back and elevated so that I didnt snore, that my shoulders would eventually get better. After just 3 weeks, I have noticed a great improvement. The pain has decreased noticeably and my sleep is a higher quality. Im not nearly as tired in the late morning/early afternoon and I just generally feel much better. Id recommend this bed to anyone who has trouble sleeping, either on their back or on their side.
Solid construction. Very well built with no defects. Motor and frame is very strong. I love this bed. Its a gamechanger and I sleep so much better now. Very impressed with. I will definitely buy a new mattress from them when my current one wears out. Buy this adjustable bed frame. It does not disappoint.

Works perfectly and it is quiet
