Just buy it!!! This bed is perfect for my 4 and 2 year old boys. Its not so high that I worry about my 4 year old on the top and my youngest is close enough to the floor that I dont worry about him getting hurt when he will inevitably fall out since he just moved from a crib. The bed was pretty easy to assemble and took me 2 hrs putting the bed together by myself (would have been faster if I had help). After reading reviews I set out all the pieces and read through the entire directions before assembling. That probably helped.
Just what I was looking for One issue Ive noticed so far is the wood is very soft. My toddler dropped his sippy cup on a piece of the wood during assembly and it left a noticeable dent in the wood. The assembly directions could be better. The images arent perfectly clear. This low bunk bed doesnt feel like its taking up too much room. My toddler is still a little small for it, so my 5 y/o is only sleeping on the bottom bunk for now. The head space between the beds is too low for an adult to sit comfortably, hope that wont be too big of an issue as the boys grow. I love that the ladder is detachable and I can just lay it on the top away from the toddler.
So in love with this piece We have extremely low ceilings in my house. It made buying a bunk bed impossible until I found this. Its perfect! My daughter doesnt even come close to hitting the ceiling and my youngest is super safe on the bottom. The ladder does not have to be attached so I can remove it at anytime. Because it is low, its easy to change sheets, and it is really good quality. I highly recommend.
This thing is AWESOME!! My boys are 4 and 6 and incredibly brave. My oldest has been asking for a bunk bed for about two years and we finally decided after moving that he and his little brother were ready. It did not take long to assemble. You definitely need two people so as to hold parts together. But over all as long as the instructions are followed it goes quickly. And the height is perfect! My boys have already jumped off of it which is against the rules, but seeing as they are boys its going to happen, and no injuries! I am able to relax and not worry. It really is the perfect little bunk bed! And sturdy enough for us never to worry!
