A lot of parts but really easy to assemble, its just the right size for my needs (slightly larger than expected but not too big) in the suburbs and really cant beat the price.
This was my first experience with a personal little green house. The instructions were great and very easy to follow. Took my husband and me about 30 minutes to fully assemble. Its super light and easy to move. We assembled it on our deck and the two of us easily moved it to the yard. Its been very sturdy, even through a bad storm. Shelves are a bit wonky but we secured them with zip ties and theyre fine. Ive been able to start my seedlings in late Feb, early March. I do use a wifi heating and cooling thermometer system (also available on ). Over all I would totally buy this little greenhouse again!
Package was delivered ahead of schedule. Wrapped secure. All items were properly labeled. I was able to assemble in about an hour. No help needed, no tools needed. Not as big as it appeared but decent size for a beginner. A window with netting for air on each side. Front has a zipper door that can be rolled up and secured. Not as tall to walk in. I am 57 and I have to duck, but sufficient height when inside. Shelves are not real sturdy but will hold about 3 pots at about 5 pounds each. You can use top frame for hanging plants. It has tie down strings for each corner and plastic tie downs for each shelf. The poly material is long enough at the bottom to tuck under the frame or leave flapped out. Reasonable price for product.
We never put ours outside as we bought this for the inside of the garage in the winter time. We dont have many windows for 40 plants so this was a great buy for our situation. The shelves are flimsy for sure, but do end up holding our plants up when using zip ties regardless of heavy bowing. Definitely buy extra zips ties to get all four courners per shelf. It is a nice small size but we can stand up fully inside. The center bar holds up two large plant lights and a heat lamp just fine. Throw a tarp on top for extra insulation and your houseplants are happy in winter in the southeast. I would not risk putting this outside unless you tie it down, stake it, And put weighted bags on it or itll be gone like dorothys house in a twister.
For the price you cant get a better deal. This is so cute and so easy to put together. My daughter and I had it up in no time. I just love it.
I am sure the lines could be secured better but the ground is kinda soft.sand. But for an old lady her her 17 yr old I think we did an ok job! Lol
I caught this on sale and I am so pleased. I was worried the green covering would tear in the wind, but it seems strong. All the seams have held up. It took me about an hour and a half to put together, but it wasnt hard. It was just time consuming, but the directions are very easy. The only problem I had (and it is minor) was that I didnt have enough green zip ties to secure all the shelves. If you put one on all 4 corners of the shelves, you only have enough for one side of the greenhouse. Luckily, I had some clear zip ties at home to finish the other side. It could be the manufacturer only intended for buyers to have two ties per shelf, but then that wouldnt adequately secure them. Still, its such a great buy. When I first saw the skinny poles, I was worried it wouldnt seem stable, but it all came together nicely and is stronger than I thought. I put green duct tape around where the poles connect together to make it stronger in a storm. There are two windows on the greenhouse that have tent like screens. They are very nice, but I wish there were four. We have had 76 degree weather and have to open both windows and roll the door up or it gets 90 to 100 degrees in the greenhouse. It comes with small stakes, but I recommend using patio blocks inside to weight the bottom of the greenhouse down. Just sit them on the bottom raiIs. We did that and used the ties with different stakes and it helped the greenhouse survive a bad storm tonight. I started seeds way before the end of March and already have lettuce, jalepenos, tomatoe plants, and cucumbers. Hang a battery powered fan in the top and that helps keep bugs out of you need to leave the door open. The zippers seem cheap, but we tied string on them to help unzip and zip up the greenhouse. Eight 12 inch patio blocks fit nicely, on the ground, in between the shelves. There are things that can be better, but for the price, and what you can make of it, its such a great buy and it definitely works!
I see people bagging and saying its flimsy. Hey come on what are you expecting for the price? It does and great job. I live where there is a lot of wind and it is holding up great. I have mine filled up with plants.
The plastic cover torn easily at the seams by the zipper. There are stretch marks/holes in the Edges of other seams also. I decided I want it up more than I want a replacement so Ductape is now part of the structure.
Its easy to put together and if there were just a smidgeon more fabric so the seams were not so stretched it would be GREAT. Now its good.
I put my greenhouse together over the weekend in about an hour. It does a great job of absorbing the sunlight and warming the inside during the day. It does not hold much heat overnight but does keep the frost off your plants. Had a couple of windy days and it has held up fine. Plan on buying some wire ties as they dont give you enough to properly attach the wire shelves to the frame (in my opinion)
