The Stone and Beam Coast Wood-Trimmed Contemporary Living Room Accent Chair is a very large chair. Everyone who has sat upon it has said it was comfortable. I am not sure how well it will hold up in the long run because after the first person sat in it you could see their seat marks. It seemed like it stretched a bit or something. It is large enough that if you took off the pillows two average sized people could sit in it. It is a very nice looking chair and its color and style make it more formal in a casual and yet more casual than a formal setting. The wood looks particularly nice.

The chair is deep, very deep. And the back support is slightly lower than shoulder height. Im 6.1 so thats how Im approaching this.
Now the cushions are supremely comfortable and you can expect them to be sort of firm when you set it up. But it hints at an inevitable softness that will come with use. It feels like its soft. The side panels on the chair look very thin, and they are but they are solid and lightly padded. You have enough room in this chair to slouch or sit any way you like and be comfortable. And the back support is angled just right, and padded well enough that you will be happy to fall back into it.
But its not exactly perfect. Im sitting in it as I write this and my legs are slightly elevated with the back of my legs pointed upward not touching the chair. This is because of the initial firmness of the chair and the seating angle. This isnt bad at all. It is comfy and I really like the chair. But a foot stool is basically necessary if you choose to buy this.
Just to be sure, I asked the wifey, 5.8, to sit in this and her reaction was the same you need a foot stool.
So I would be happy to recommend it but with that one small provision.
As a side note, we currently have some love seats from the stone and beam brand. All of this stuff is durable and the quality is obvious. Its normal to have some reservations about buying a sofa online, but I feel like you are safe here.
Updated review: When I initially received the chair, both of the arm rests were broken as shown in the images attached. I contacted the seller and they were very nice and quick to respond. They offered to send new arm rests at no additional cost. Unfortunately, when those arrived, one of them was also split. I assume the issue is how the pieces are packaged and shipped, so I recommended they improve the padding, etc. of the packing and they said they would do that.
I decided to try to salvage the pieces I did receive. I used wood glue and clamps on the least damaged arm rest and let it dry overnight. Then I sanded them down and assembled the chair the next day. So far it has held up ok, but you can see the line of wood glue where I repaired it.
Comfort-wise, the chair is on the firm side but comfortable. Luckily it comes with a matching lumbar pillow which is nice since the seat is quite deep. Seat height is good (I am about 59).
The chair was easy to assemble, arrived early, and was the perfect accent chair for the bedroom! It’s not the comfiest chair, but it is perfect for what I needed it for!
Nice little chair for small spaces. Instructions are just OK but it’s not difficult to put together it took me less than an hour, I would suggest a power tool for the sides but don’t tighten everything up until it’s all together. The seat is firm and deep so I added a couch pillow for back support. Nice chair for the price.
Just received my chair yesterday and absolutely love it. So very comfortable and gives excellent support to for my back and lumbar. Well-made and material is high quality.
