Purchasing this bed for my 4/year/old was absolutely one of the best things Ive done all year. The pure joy she is having with her big/girl bed and the smiles on her face are priceless.
Im not sure what a few peoples bad experiences are but we did not experience any of them. The bed arrived next day from purchase, easy to assemble (took about 2 hours), no broken, missing, or damaged pieces ( they send extras), our spring/foam combo mattress fits perfectly and the slats are great, no smells, the slide is perfect not to straight or slick, the angled stair ladder is awesome so no bottom of the foot pain, the hardware matches the furniture and give it a clean smooth look, under bed space is good, My only regret is not getting this bed earlier. Perfect kid bed!! So much fun and perfect space saver. double WIN!! my only minor complaint is the instructions are not too straightforward but definitely easy to put together by looking at the pictures, me and my husband put it together in less than an hour
2yr update: unfortunately the bed loosened up after a year and no matter how much you tighten the screws the bed squeaks and is so wobbly, so definitely not a durable bed, put your money towards a more durable loft bed because this one is not worth it in my opinion. Overall you got what you paid for.
It wobbles a lot. We returned it and bought one made by Concord. If you are handy, Id buy a cheaper one and anchor it to the wall or make braces. This one was OK, but couldnt be tightened. Wouldnt recommend
Came together in about 90 minutes. Pretty straightforward assembly and parts easily identifiable enough. The child loves it. I paired it with a 6 basic foam mattress. With a child weighing 37lbs, there was not need to augment the support slats with bunkie boards or anything. Even when my wife gets in this bed, there is no slop between the stiles. The paint quality is nice and the unit is very sturdy. LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
Great bed, easy to assemble. I was able to put this together with my 6 yr old. The bed did smell of paint or something but that was just for a day. Overall the look and sturdiness of the bed is exactly what I was looking for, extra space now below for play. Met my needs perfectly!
We got the low loft with the stairs and the slide for my sons fourth birthday. He absolutely loves it. Its really sturdy, Ive even taken a nap on it. (Whoops!) We bought a firm 6 inch foam mattress and it works great. Doesnt sink through at all. My four year old and two year old cant get enough of it, Ive had to put a baby gate up when we eat meals so they wont be tempted to run into my sons room to use the slide. The slide is a tiny bit steep, but It took both of my kids approximately three or four times of going down the slide before learning how to not slam down on their butt. (Less than five minutes) All in all its a great bed and I would buy it again. Best purchase ever!
It took me 3 hrs to get it together on my own and a chair to help me get it up. Everything is perfect, struggled to put one side of the bed together since it seemed like the holes were not centered but I dont know how I managed to make it work. My only down for this is the fact that the SCREWS ARE NOT LABELED!!! So for that you just need to really go with comparing the pictures with the real ones. Other than that, my 4 yr/old son loves his new bed and it has really helped him stay in his room during night!! I really love how it look like
