This product does seem very quality, however I have one complaint; there is a terrible synthetic smelling odor that comes off of the fabric that lines the inside and bottom of this bench. I have been airing it out and the smell has been slowly disappearing, so its not much of a big deal, but it does make me wonder what kind of chemicals are on the fabricAnyway, I LOVE the hinges that hold the top part/lid. They are not too loose nor too tight; it is easy to open and close but it doesnt snap shut on your fingers or take much effort to close! I was worried my 4 year old son might get his fingers hurt by this, but I tried to close it on my fingers, and you have to lower it all down yourself, and when I did so, it didnt hurt at all. The top also stays open as much or as little as you want without it lowering/raising. I am very happy with this purchase and cant wait till I can start storing things inside once the smell disappears!
I really love the bench. The storage section holds all the blankets and pillows and it is really comfortable to sit on. My husband was extremely impressed that all we had to do was screw in the legs. It was shipped in one big box.
